Valentine's Day Pt.2

       It didn't take long to get to the place. He parked outside the New York City Frenzie Fair.

"Oh, this is where we're going?!" I asked him.

"Yeah," he said," you like it?!"

I nodded. It was 5, and the lights were shining all around us, with carnivals and people rushing in crowds.

A few people noticed Percy and I as we walked through the crowds passing by. I guess we were surprised our disguises worked.

We stopped to get tickets and got them. We stood in front of the line when a little girl behind us screamed.

Oh no.

"Mommy, I want that unicorn!" She yelled and pointed at a purple, sparkly unicorn.

I held a breath of relief. So, she didn't know us.

Percy and I walked to the line and spotted Frank and Hazel coming towards us.

"Hazel! Frank! What're you guys doing here?!" I asked them.

"I invited them," Percy told me and Hazel hugged me.

"We just wanted to be the third and fourth wheel," Hazel told us. We came into the bright and colorful park.

"So, which ride first?" Frank asked me and Percy immediately pointed toward the Ocean Flume.

"I love the water rides," he explained to us and I smiled. Seaweed Brain was a Seaweed Brain.

We walked over and found the ride.

"I really didn't want to get wet today," Hazel said, putting on a rain jacket.

We all laughed. "I warned her about Percy's favorite rides," Frank told us.

The ride was fun and I absolutely loved the look on Hazel's face when the big drop came. She looked like she was about to barf.

"You guys want to split up?" I asked them, since Hazel wanted to go to the Funhouse Mirrors and Percy wanted to go on the bumper cars.

As we passed by the entrance gate, the rules read:

No pregnant women allowed.

"Yeah, Percy," I bumped his arm, pointing to the sign.

"Not funny," he said to me, smiling.

"Well, then why are you smiling?" I asked him.

"Look- I'm so going to beat you on the bumper car race," he told me.

"Oh you're so on!" I told him.

I get competitive at times. That's why I literally took every chance to win at the race. I sped and bumped.

And most of all, I won.

"Look at whose the winner, Seaweed Brain," I told him, pointing at the scoreboard. He sighed.

"Yeah, whatever," he told me, still smiling," thanks for almost killing me."

"You're welcome," I said to him, smiling back. There looked like a moment of hesitation where he wanted to ask me something. But no, nothing happened.
