KELLIN'S POV
I poured a splash of milk in Gerard's coffee, just about to turn around to give it to him, when I felt a pair of arms slither around my stomach.
I instantly tensed, then realised that it was fine, he was just hugging me.
Smiling, I set the milk down on the kitchen counter and tilted my head back, kissing Gerard's jaw.
"I can feel your ribs." Gerard murmured.
My smile stretched wider, "R-really?"
He spun me around, "Yeah."
I squealed slightly, letting him place a kiss on my nose.
"I'm proud of you Kell." He whispered, making my stomach flip.
"Y-you are?" I asked.
He nodded, "Obviously you're still a far way from your goal weight, but yeah, you're getting closer every day." He grinned.
I ran my fingers over my ribcage, feeling every single one of them, which brought a smile to my face.
Gerard suddenly noticed my happiness and shook his head, "Don't get too smug, you're still gross okay?" He said.
I nodddd quickly, pulling my hands away from my chest, disgusted that I was actually nearly happy with my body for a second.
How?
Like he said, I'm gross.
So gross.
I handed Gerard his mug and grabbed my keys, "Uh, Gabe isn't working today so can I go to the coffee shop?" I questioned, my heart pounding in my chest.
He took a long gulp of his coffee before thinking.
"Okay, but be back within an hour." He said.
I nodded and left the apartment, jogging down the stairs and trying to ignore the strong dizziness in my head.
The last things I had eaten and kept down were the yoghurt and fruit I ate about four days ago.
I wouldn't go as far as saying I was proud, I've gone way longer without, but I'm happy that I resisted temptation.
The cool breeze of the out doors hit my face, prickling at my skin as I opened the door and left the building.
I walked down the sidewalk, in a weirdly good mood today.
I pushed through the door and walked into the shop, ordering my usual order.
I stood there, tapping my nails on the desk before my order was bought over by the same boy that was here yesterday.
Vic, I remember his name to be.
"Hi, you feeling better?" He asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, I'd woken up feeling a bit dodgy yesterday so going out probably wasn't a good idea." I laughed.
He shrugged and gave me a big smile, making my heart flutter.
I shook my head at myself, cursing quietly.
I was with Gerard.
And I loved him.
"Mind if I sit with you?" Vic asked, "It's not busy at all and I'm kinda bored."
I nodded, "Sure."
I walked over to a table and sat down, watching whilst Vic sat opposite me.
He cleared his throat and shuffled awkwardly in his seat, "That guy yesterday," He said.
I nodded, knowing he was talking about Gerard.
"Is he your boyfriend?"
I nodded, feeling slightly uncomfortable telling him that. I don't know why.. I've never really had a problem showing Gerard off.
Vic frowned and shook his head.
"W-what?" I asked, my face heating up.
Is he homophobic?
He seems too nice to be like that.
"Nothing." He muttered.
"No, I wanna know." I pressed on.
He shrugged, "well, obviously it's none of my business. But by the looks of it yesterday, he doesn't treat you very well." He told me.
I snorted, "He treats me amazingly!"
Vic frowned, "Maybe, but.. I don't know, the way he looked at you. He seemed generally mad. And he upset Gabe.." He said.
"What did Gabe say?" I asked, my heart sinking.
"He didn't say anything, but it was obvious that something had happened." Vic shrugged.
I shook my head, "Gerard's amazing."
"Like I said, maybe he does, I guess I just got a bad first impression." He muttered.
I nodded, awkwardly taking a sip from my coffee.
"What happened to your face?" Vic asked, suddenly.
"W-what?" I stuttered.
"Well, I was gunna ask yesterday but I didn't wanna come off as rude." He shrugged.
I frowned, "Just something, it doesn't matter."
Vic nodded, searching my eyes like he was trying to find something.
We sat in an uncomfortable silence for a moment before he spoke up again,
"Gabes worried about you, ya know?" Vic blurted out.
"Why?" I asked, letting out a small fake laugh.
I knew Gabe was onto me. He knew something was wrong, he always does.
"I don't know, he says that recently you've lost loads of weight, and are getting un-explained injuries and it's like you're a different person." He generally looked worried.
I faked laughed, "Well, I live in an apartment now with a lot of stairs for my clumsy ass to fall down, I'm really not losing that much weight, I guess I just have a fast metabolism and I'm just bored I guess, I'm unemployed and have no idea what to do with my life." I told him.
"Well what do you like?" He asked.
"Music." I smiled.
"Oh my god, same." Vic beamed.
"I wanna be in a band but I guess I've got to be realistic." I laughed.
"I dunno, it's more possible than you think, do you know anyone who wants to be in a band?" Vic asked.
I shrugged, "I keep trying to convince Gabe, he's an amazing drummer but I don't know if he's very keen, and I have a friend called Justin whose amazing at bass." I said.
Vic nodded, "My cousin Nick is a great guitarist whose looking for a band. You never know, it could work." He smiled.
I laughed quietly, "Maybe."Vic was generally an interesting person to talk with..
Maybe I can get to know him more..
