KELLINS POV
I woke with a jump, hissing slightly as the light blinded my just opened eyes.
"Sorry did I wake you?" Vic asked, but I didn't reply right away.
My eyes were fixed on his shirtless body, suddenly glad I was woken up.His chest was tanned and toned, he had a six pack, which wasn't too over the top but wasn't small either. His body was just as perfect as he was.
"Um Kells?" Vic asked, his cheeks lightly pink.
My face flushed red as I quickly looked away.
"Oh, Uh.. S-Sorry.."He smirked and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around me, the heat of his bare chest warming me.
I buried my face in his chest, listening to his heart thumping."I was thinking," He started.
I was trying to listen but I couldn't get my mind off how hot he looked. It made my stomach fill will butterflies. My eyes trailed down his chest and flickered back up to his kissable lips.
I shifted under the mattress and smirked slightly, how was I blessed with such a hot boyfriend?
I bit my lip and looked back up to his eyes.
"So, what do you think?" He asked, looking hopeful."A-about What?" I stuttered, embarrassed.
"Working with Gabe and I at the coffee shop."
"Oh, right, um, sure?" I replied.
"You don't have to, I just wanna keep an eye on you for the first few months of your recovery." He shrugged.
"You don't trust me?" I whispered.
He shook his head and sighed, "I said I trusted you, but I still worry about you."
I nodded, "I guess.""Cool, I asked Gabe too, you start today." He smiled.
"Urgh jesus." I groaned, sleepily moping out of bed.
"Get changed, then I'll make breakfast." He chuckled.
I nodded, walking over to the bathroom to get changed.I slipped out of my pyjamas, staring at my body in the mirror.
I frowned and quickly looked away.
Why can't I see what everyone else supposedly sees?
I shook my head, sighing and pulled up my jeans and flung on my tshirt, chucking a red checkered flannel on.I walked downstairs and went to leave the house before Vic could spot me but it was too late.
"Where you going?" He asked.
I sighed and turned around, "Work? I thought I'd get there early to speak to Gabe." I lied.
He shook his head, "You haven't had breakfast yet."
I rolled my eyes, "I'm not hungry."
My stomach grumbled loudly, exposing my blatant lie.Vic raised his eyebrows, "And you wonder why I want to keep an eye on you."
I exhaled loudly and walked over to the kitchen counter, picking up a piece of toast, over exaggerating my bites out of it.
Vic shook his head, sighing.
I swallowed the bread and downed a cup of water before leaving the house with Vic to go to my first day of work.—
The sounds of glasses clinking filled the cafe.
I sipped on my glass of coffee whilst waiting for someone's toasted sandwich to grill. The grill light went green, telling me it was done.
I tipped the sandwich out, cheese oozing out the sides, and placed it on a plate for a customer.
I handed it to them and they smiled gratefully.
It didn't seem like the most fascinating job but I guess there could be worse.A tall man with with dirty blonde hair walked in, immediately spotting me and walking over.
He looked oddly familiar, making me frown, trying to rack my brain to see if I knew him.
"Kellin Quinn?" He asked me.
I nodded slowly, "Do I know you?" I asked, still trying to remember who he is.
He shook his head, "Probably not."
"But you know me?" I asked.
"I know a lot about you, not personally." He told me.
I nodded uncomfortably, "So are you here for coffee or to talk?"
"Well I'm not really a coffee guy so.." He shrugged."Um okay.." I whispered.
I turned to Gabe, "Can I take my break now?"
Gabe nodded, shooting me a smile.
I returned the smile and took my apron of, hanging it on the wall and leaving the cafe to stand outside."So?" I asked, once we were outside.
"Should we walk?" He asked.
I hesitated, I don't know the guy.
I sighed and looked back in the cafe, "O-Okay, but not too far, I only have twenty minutes."
He nodded and started walking, I quickly followed."Are you going to explain how you know me?" I asked.
He lead me down a narrow, abandoned street, making me feel more on edge."I'm Mikey." He told me.
"Uh Okay, Hi?" I asked confused.
That didn't really answer my question.
He chuckled, "Did my brother not talk of me?" He asked.
I frowned, "Who?"
"I wouldn't expect him to I guess.""W-What's going on?" I stuttered.
"I just need you to keep quiet, tell the court you're insane. You inflicted your injuries on yourself. You already had an eating disorder before you met my brother." He told me.
My stomach sank.
I knew I recognised the face."Y-you're Gerard's brother aren't you.." I breathed.
He nodded, "And I need you to keep your mouth shut. Gee can't go to prison, Okay?"
"B-but.. he ruined my life." I whimpered, tears pricking at my eyes.
"No honey," He murmured, "Remember? You did it all to yourself. And that's what you'll tell the court."
I gulped and backed up against the wall, letting a tear slip down my face.
"Won't you?" He spat.
I started to run but he grabbed my wrist harshly, making me yelp out.
"Please don't." I cried, tears sliding on my cheek.
"Kellin, it's not rocket science. All you have to do is lie, you're used to it aren't you? Lying." He growled.
My lip quivered slightly as I closed my eyes.
"Kellin?" I heard Vics voice call from the distance.
A wave of relief shot over me.
"Vic!" I cried out.
Mikey clasped his hand hard over my mouth, making me whimper."Kellin?" I heard him call again.
My muffled calls weren't loud enough for him to here.
I slid down the wall and out of his grasp, sprinting out of the alleyway, running onto the main sidewalk and immediately bashing into Vic."Vic, oh my god." I cried.
"Jesus Kellin, What happened?" He asked, holding me into a tight hug.
"It's never going to end is it?" I sobbed.
"What is it Kells?" He whispered.
"M-Mikey. H-he.. h-" I stuttered.
"Mike? As in my brother?" He frowned.
My skin crawled as I realised Vics brother was also called Mike.I let out a loud sob, "N-no.. no"
"Whose Mikey Kells?"
"G-Gerard b-brother." I cried.
His eyes widened and he tightened his grip on me.
"What's he doing here?" He asked, trying to hide the anger in his voice.
"He told me to keep quiet about Gerard." I whispered. He shook his head, "You wont Okay? You'll let that man get everything he deserves Okay?" Vic told me, wiping a few tears away.
I nodded, "Y-yeah."
"I'll keep you safe, I promise."
