Smiles Can't Be Stitched Completely

Chapter 8: No More Hiding

   The little girl pointed at a blue and purple portal of light force slowly appearing and expending at one of the corners of the room. It looked so hallucinating that it made everyone dizzy.

   As it grew, so did the cold and freezing wind it created. The light objects in the room began to fly around everywhere and surrounded the gang. Nicolas held Winter tightly as Hazim did to Ameenah as well.

   Mr. Trust cried when a flying knife flew to him and sliced the back of his hand he held the phone with, making it bleed a little. Because of the pain, the phone flew off of his hands and entered the portal, disappearing in it. He let out a deep growl of anger because of that. His glasses were pulled off and flew into the portal as well.

   "OH SHI-!" Lizzy ducked down to the floor from a flying silver harpoon that nearly went through her neck.

   She glared up at Sheena who stood beside her. "Who told you to bring a freaking harpoon in the living room in the first place?!"

   "Oh, I was gonna use it to kill you," Sheena said sarcastically and shrugged casually though her hair was waving along with the strong wind.

   The portal, however, was the only light for them before it disappeared with a loud whipping sound, allowing the darkness to meet the gang again.

   Questions filled everyone's mind. Their breaths hitched and their movements were shaky. They all swore they saw a short figure coming out of the circular wavy force of light. And they did.

   Like a miracle, the light in the room came back on less than ten seconds. There were sighs of relief but frustration still filled the air. Unsureness and anxiety came along with it.

    Winter stood still, as if too scared to move but was shaking like a leaf. Nicolas took notice and held on her shoulder to look at where she was staring at.

   "What's wro-?" Nicolas halted with his eyes widened and saw a short figure standing at the center of the room, wearing a purple princess dress and button eyes. Her tears were still there but a kind smile was plastered on her face.

   DollFace.

   Of course, she hadn't introduced herself to the entire gang Nor Mr.Trust himself yet so they were all in a mix of fright and confusion. They all did not expect to see a little girl with different hair patterns with buttons for eyes and wearing a princess gown to appear out of nowhere. That was literally the last thing everyone thought would happen.

   "N-no need to be afraid," the girl stammered, as if anyone would shout or scream at her although no one did yet. Her eyes trained on Nicolas more.

   "Oh yeah?" Lizzy set her eyes and narrowed them at the young girl as she stood up slowly and carefully. "Who are you? What do you want? Are you the reason why Freddie passed out? Are you-?"

   "Hey, calm down," Sheena glared at Lizzy. "Let the girl explain." She turned to DollFace and asked her the obvious questions like how did she summon a portal in the living room and why was she there in the first place.

   "I-I will explain more about myself soon b-but honestly, I c-came to see F-F-Freddie," DollFace explained in a Whisper and stammers.
