After a long day of walking, the four stopped as the moon fell behind the endless sand dunes. Arenia joyfully jumped off her horse and sat her things down, quickly taking a drink of water and laying down in the sand.
Everyone else began to prepare for rest as well. Sercon pulled out a blanket, which he dropped in the sand moments later, and Marque just pulled out a pillow. Arenia, nor Agent 34, had come prepared for those things.
Agent 34 sat beside Arenia and leaned in and whispered to her. "Still going on with the plan?" She nodded in response, Agent 34 quickly standing up.
Agent 34 walked over to Iciél and reached into the bag tied to the horse's saddle. He pulled out a piece of bread and ripped a piece off, plucking it into his mouth and tossing the bread back into the bag.
As the moon rose, the horses all sat down and everyone began to drift to sleep. Arenia and Agent 34, however, stayed awake. Both of them were waiting, 34 pretending to sleep while Arenia pulled a book, Tales of the Old King, out of a bag she had brought with her and began to read under the moonlight:
An unnamed savior came and watched the battle as Braunick and the Old King fought viciously. Braunick prevailed, knocking the Destiny Sword straight out of the Old King's hand.
As Braunick prepared to take his enemy's life, the savior came and threw Braunick to the ground and helped the Old King up. Retrieving his weapon, the Old King began to battle Braunick side-by-side with his unnamed savior.
As Braunick began to weaken, the pair began to strengthen and overcome the evil ruler. As Braunick fell to the ground, he did something no one had ever seen in Renya ever before that awful day.
Braunick stood up, blood gushing from every hole in his body. He raised his hand, steadying it slowly.
A black and shaky rod shot from his palm, heading straight to the Old King. It collided with his chest and threw the King to the wall, rocks falling from impact.
Braunick had managed to develop his own form of magic while plotting his takeover. He called it Black Magic, and then raised his hand towards the Old King, who sat on the ground at the back of the room, motionless. A black outline appeared around him as he lifted into the air, his skin slowly turning gray and his eyes turning black.
Suddenly, the Old King's body went limp and twenty gems plopped out of his mouth. Braunick fell to his knees, dropping the dead king's body as he fell. Weakened, he crawled towards the body of his victim, about to pick up the gems.
Then, the savior grabbed the gems. All twenty of them, running as fast as he could out of the castle. Braunick ordered the guards to go after him as he fled Urania.
The savior dropped a White Gem as he fled, which Braunick quickly broke and absorbed the powers of. Luckily, the guards of Braunick's castle were unsuccessful in capturing the savior, as all of them were not smart enough to use a horse to catch up with him.
Braunick was not strong enough to use Black Magic anymore after killing the Old King. He couldn't stop the savior from stealing the gems, however the savior didn't use a single one of them after he fled. The savior hid the gems among many places in Renya for someone who had a chance at beating Braunick, because the savior had taken a major blow from Braunick and was unable to heal himself successfully and could not fight as well as he used to. There was no way he could defeat Braunick.
Braunick searches the continent for the savior, sending soldiers and guards to every corner of Renya. However, he was luckily unsuccessful and the savior went into hiding while he traveled the continent as well, posing as different identities as he hid the gems across the land, hoping someone would one day find them and defeat Braunick.
For years, the gems remained hidden. Around three and a half years later, Braunick finally discovered a gem that was hidden under some sand in the middle of Sehope. This sparked the Gem Hunt, where the entire nation went into a craze while looking for the gems. Luckily, one of the first finders and founder of the Destigems was named Agent 34.
Arenia was puzzled. This was written recently, because Agent 34 wasn't even known of until around four months ago. Whoever was the author of this book was still alive to this day. Arenia was wondering how the author got so much details about Braunick's uprising when the only person who knew about that battle was the savior, who was actually Fáolar. Arenia knew that because Fáolar had told her a couple times.
Arenia wondered about the author of the book and completely forgot her mission as she read until she saw a figure looming over her.
"Hello, Arenia," Agent X said to Arenia with a vicious voice.
