"Because I gave you all my money/ Girl, but you just won't treat me right." Lloyd Price's singing voice sang through the radio as Grayson and I were driving back to town.
His convertible let the cool air in as he drove past the water, my knees were cuddled up to my chest as I rested my head on my side of the car, my eyes resting from the lack of sleep.
Grayson had one hand on the steering wheel while the other was holding my hand tenderly as he drove.
I was silent, taking in the beautiful scenery in front of me while enjoying my time with the boy who took me on this wild adventure. He was softly singing with Mr.Price, his voice sweet and loving.
I turn to look at him with awe as he looked at me for a moment from the road.
"I'm gonna tell, tell my mama/Lord, I swear to god, what you been doing to me." He sang, his hand clenching for a moment away from mine, putting affection to his words as he resang the lyrics.
A soft giggle escaped my lips as he repeated Llyod's words before intertwining my hand with his.
Glancing at my watch, I noticed that I had to be home by 9 so that I could get ready for church. It was 6 o clock, which gives me plenty of time to sneak back into my house and get some shut eye before I had to sit through Pastor David and my father's preaches.
Instead of thinking about the future, I look back at the singing babe. His smooth pink lips opening and closing slightly as the lyrics came out, oh how they felt so soft against mine.
Thinking about what happened an hour ago made me touch my lips in admiration, wishing his lips were on mine again.
I turn to him, planting a loving kiss on his cheek as he continued driving. A smile formed on his face as he turned to look at me for a split second before looking back at the road.
His hand gave mine a tight squeeze before relaxing. I lay my head back on the frame as the events of tonight replayed in my head.
Elvis, the secret hideout, the cool water, the abandoned bus, the hidden cave,
everything was almost surreal, as if I couldn't believe the memories that happened.I felt alive.
As Lloyd Price's voice settled down and his song came to an end, I face the man I was falling for.
"Where abouts are we going?" I asked him, my voice hoarse from my lack of sleep.
The wind blew in his hair as he answered. "I'm takin' ya to breakfast. We'll get some grub before I have to drop you off." He explains, stopping at a red light before looking at me.
He whispered a 'gosh' underneath his breath, looking at me with loving eyes.
"What?" I asked him, blushing as he kept his eyes fixed on me.
He licked his lips before looking at the wheel.
"You look beautiful in my clothing." He complimented, as his muscles on his arms flexed slightly through his black t-shirt.
I looked at my appearance, noticing that I was wearing the comfortable pants along with his blue sweatshirt that hung low to my knees.
I adored this sweatshirt, it smelt like a mix of his cologne and a faint scent of cigarettes. I do not plan of giving it back to him, I wanted to keep it.
"Do you smoke?" I asked quietly, my eyes closing again as we arrive to town.
He gave out a slight chuckle as he pulled up to a small cafe. "Nah dolly, my pals do." He answered, putting his car in park as he turned to me, leaning in and kissing me softly on the lips.
