A few weeks later they come upon a river. They set up came and Zuko lit a fire. Katara walks over to where Zuko and Aang are and sits down. "I can't believe I lost my necklace, I don't know where it is or who has it." Aang then brings a necklace from behind his back.
"I made you one to keep it's place." Aang gave her a big smile. Katara puts it on.
"How do I look?" Katara questions.
"Do you mean all of you or just your neck? Because both look great." Zuko thinks and Katara head snaps to him as pink dusts her cheeks. Zuko realizes that he said that aloud and he turns pink as well. Sokka decides to tease his sister and Zuko.
"Smoochy, smoochy, someone's in love." Which causes both Zuko and Katara to blush harder. As it starts to get awkward, they hear something out of the ordinary and rush to the road. A elderly man is being attacked by a platypus bear. He seems calm but the Gaang is wondering how he can remain so calm. Appa comes along and scares the platypus bear away. The man tells them that he wasn't worried about being killed because a fortuneteller told him that he would have a safe journey and that it would rain so he was told to give an umbrella to anyone he meets. Aang opens the umbrella and then it starts to rain. Sokka is immediately upset because he doesn't believe in fortune tellers. They get to Aunt Wu's and Katara volunteers to go first. Aang gets anxious and questions Sokka and Zuko as to what they may be talking about. Sokka suggests that it will probably be about love. Aang sneaks to where he can hear them talking. Aunt Wu starts to tell Katara about her fortune, "I see there is a very powerful bender that you have your eye on and he likes you back. I see a great romance in your future so long as one of you acts soon otherwise another bender will come and you will live a happy life but you will always feel there is something missing." Aang puffs up his chest and walks back with confidence.
"Good bathroom break?" Questions Sokka.
Aang responds, "Yeah, while I was in there I..."
"I don't need to know anything about that." Sokka interrupted.
"I overheard Aunt Wu's prediction for Katara. Katara likes me back. Aunt Wu said that she likes a powerful bender and he likes her back and they will have a great romance." Aang smiles wide. Zuko thinks to himself, 'Of course she likes the Avatar and no one is a more powerful bender than he is.' Zuko gets up and leaves the building that everyone is in. Katara comes out and notices that Zuko has left.
"Where is Zuko?" Katara questions, Aang just smiles at her while Sokka points towards the door. Katara leaves to go find him. 'One of us has to do something and if he doesn't get the hint then I will be straight-forward.' She turns a corner and sees him sitting in the town square. She sits next to him. "You don't want to get your future told? You don't want to know about your future wife?" Katara queries.
"I did but then I heard something and realized that what I want won't happen." Zuko alluded to what Aang had come back and said.
"What did you hear?" Realization dawned on her. "Were you listening in on my fortune?"
Zuko looked offended, "No, I didn't but he came back and said that you had your eye on a powerful bender and he liked you back and you guys are going to have a great romance. I like you but then I heard it was a powerful bender and no one is more powerful than Aang."
"Aunt Wu never said it was the most powerful bender, she said it was a powerful bender who I like. Which in case you are wondering, I see Aang as more of a brother." After saying this Katara stands up and walks away.
Zuko understands what she meant a second later. 'I need to get a fire lily for her to apologize and tell her that I want her to be my girlfriend.'
A few hours later after Zuko found out that the volcano was going to erupt and the Gaang saved the village Zuko walks over to Katara and hands her the fire lily. "Will you be my girlfriend?" She nodded then Aang yells.
"What? I thought you liked me, I am a more powerful bender." He had hurt in his eyes but then Meng came over and calmed him down.
A year later, the Fire Lord was defeated with Zuko crowned in his place. Zuko was negotiating peace with the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom. Zuko had convinced Katara to come with him on his last trip. They started in the Southern Water Tribe and now they are in the Earth Kingdom. They decide to stop at the island where they met Aunt Wu. Katara went to go meet up with Aunt Wu again and see if she had any more predictions. Aunt Wu said she sees something that would surprise Katara. Katara leaves to go look around the market. She hears gasping and turns to see what everyone was looking at. She looks and sees Zuko across the market with a Fire Lily. He crosses over to her in a matter of seconds. She takes the Fire Lily from him then he pulls out a necklace. It looked much like her mother's, which she eventually found on a pirate ship, except instead of an all blue stone it was blue water and yellow fire circling around and joining up with both the Fire Nation and Water Tribe symbols. "Katara, will you marry me and become the Fire Lady?"
Katara teared up and nodded. "Is this why we went to the Southern Water Tribe first?"
"I had to ask your father and Sokka for their blessing, we can't deal with our nations being upset with each other. I also love you and want you to stay with me for the rest of my life." They went on to have a beautiful wedding and three kids. The first, a son, who was tan and light brown hair with his dad's eyes, the second, a daughter, who looked exactly like her mother, and the third, a son, who was pale with dark hair and stunning blue eyes.
The End.
