1|7: Leather Scars (łł)

How didn't I notice the scars across his back and stomach when I slept with him? My heart ached at the sight of his tear stained cheeks.

" And you know what's the worst part? I'm living with the man who made her who she is today..." his words left me at the loss of words. Mr West did this to her, and Tristen. How? Why? Why is he still walking freely?

"H-how? W-why?" I sounded softer than I expected.

He lifted my chin so that my eyes met his, his beautiful cocoa eyes. His eyes flickered with emotion, a battle he was fighting within him. He was hiding something big from me, I just know it.

" That's a story for another time, you still have so much to know about me." He tucked a lock of my blonde hair behind my ear.

I gave him a half heartened smile, "Well then, I'll be here always so you know where to find me." I didn't want to pressure him but I had one question in mind.

" Tristen, just tell me one thing....does your dad still hurt you?" I peered up at him.

He chuckled, "No...I won't let him do so anymore. I think I found my strength to live a day longer." His fingers traced my eyebrows down to my cheek.

"You're beautiful, Rapunzel, I'm not joking this time." He leaned closer, his eyes dripping to my lips.

"I-I have a boyfriend, Tristen.." It took all my strength to break the moment we just shared. His smile faded, and without another second passing he stood up abruptly. I mirrored his actions.

He placed his hands in his pockets, pacing back and forth.
"Yeah I know..." he accepted it reluctantly, his shoe kicking away the rocks in his path.

"Tristen.." I sighed, i cpuldn't help but  run towards him before wrapping my arms around his waist. His hands immediately found it's way around my shoulders. I couldn't believe it.

I was hugging Tristen West.

The bad Boy, reknown player, the boy who cried, the boy who had a heart under that playful smirk.

Those three words were at the tip of my tongue, but I forbid myself from saying it. I knew that if I did, everything would change.

And I was afraid of change.

God, if only he knew how badly I wanted to say those words and bring that million dollar smile to his lips. If only...if only...

We stood in that green grass patch, embracing each other, swaying to the wind that breezed through our hair.

He let out a snicker which made me raise an eyebrow as I leaned my head on his chest.
" Wanna know something? "

"What?" A smile played on my lips.

" This is the first time I hugged a girl." I bursted out laughed, his chin still resting on my head.

" I guess we both lost our virginity to each other," I couldn't hold back my laughter as I stuck my nose in the air in pride.

" You could say that, Rapunzel...I'm glad I lost it to you though.." he grinned, he couldn't have made the moment anymore cheesy.

"....I never said this but I'm glad I lost mine to you too." His eyes widened upon hearing my words. His Adam's apple bobbled, as he tried to control himself. Removing his arms that were wrapped around me, he gave me a lopsided smile.

" We should get going before I do something we both might regret.." I nodded in agreement.
And like the gentleman he is, he brought me home right to my doorstep.

Maybe bad boys are just girls' Prince Charming in disguise...

"Damn girl, today is your big day! Voting begins today!!" Cole scrutinised once more.

" I'm so nervous, and the worst part is that Skylar is not even here!" I curled my hand around Cole's arm as we walked through the hallways.

"Where did she go anyway?"

"Long story, but the main point is that she's went on a road trip with Jeremy, her biggest enemy I must add." I rolled my eyes with an amused smile.

" Oh come on, we both know they are in love with each other." Cole slapped my arm lightly.

"Hey babe," a voice interrupted our conversation. It was none other than Flynn, with a rose in his hand. If i collected each rose he gave me after our fights, I would have had an entire garden already.

"Cole, could you give us both a moment, I'll catch up with you later." Cole nodded before strolling away aimlessly, giving pamphlets to the students on the way.

"I'm really so-" I interrupted Flynn midway.

"Don't, just don't. Today is the presidential voting and I'm not in mood to hear one of your many lies, so come talk to me when you're ready to tell me the truth." I brushed pass him, simpering in pride at how I handled the situation.

Seeing Tristen amongst the crowd of students, I dashed towards him. In the midst of trying to tap his shoulder, someone gave me a hard push and the next thing I knew, I was straddling his waist.

Now that's a beautiful picture to paint for a (possible) future President of Cambridge high.

Right in the middle of the hallway, he laid below me.
"Hey Rapunzel.." he smiled at me, completely ignoring the crowd of people around us.

"Hey Tristen.." I sighed.

"I'm going to tell you something...your boyfriend is literally burning holes into me right now, I thinks he's jealous." Tristen had a smirk lacing in his lips.

"Oh really? Well, let him be, I don't really care about him right now." I had a smug look on my face which surprised Tristen.

" Someone is becoming more like me I see.."

" Well I'm spending a lot of time with you so what do you expect?" I shrugged nonchantly.

"Come on, let's get you up." I stood up, lending a hand to him which he took gratefully.

Since both of us were having the same lesson as first period, we strolled to class together.
"Have you voted yet?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Nope, haven't yet but I already know who I'm gonna vote for." He smiled to himself.

"And who might that be?" He scoffed at my question.

"Bethany, of course! I'm just going to choose the president who would be able to destroy this school as fast as possible so that I don't need to come to this hell hole any longer." He adjusted his jacket, glancing at me for a splint second.

"You're so bad at lying, has anyone told you that before?"

"Just you Rapunzel, just you." His fingers intertwined with mine, and in that moment I felt something...

Change.

And I liked it.
