CRISTAL

Work. More work. And more work.
Why are A levels so freaking hard? I've been studying for twelve hours straight and I'm on the verge of killing myself. Just kidding. I'm chill.
I just need a break I guess.
I snatch my coat off the hook by the door and slip on my boots. I leave the house, which is already empty since my mom is out, and tread down the concrete pavement.
It started raining after ten minutes so I pull my hood up over my head. I yawn, exhausted from studying shit I'll never even use in life.
I start to get to a part of town which is unusually quiet. I decide to take a break in the rain and lean on a wall. I love the rain. Especially when you're warm.

My head relaxes on the wall of a closed down McDonalds restaurant. I breathe in the smell of weathered water and shut my eyes.

'Yo, you here for the uh... You know.' A voice said to my left.

Startled, I quickly step away from the wall and look at the man.

'Who are you?' I asked.

I should maybe have been more chill but I was just scared. He looked okay. He was tall, midnight black hair that slightly covered his brown eyes. He wore a hoodie with his hands stuffed in the pockets.

'I'm not here for identification. You asked for... You know.'

I was so confused.

'What the hell are you talking about?' I was being very defensive but I couldn't help it. I was alone and if something happened no one would save me.

'Easy,' he started 'The whole reason why you called me today. Is because you wanted d-'

'Don't you mean me, son?' a woman, old and grey, appeared from behind a wall on my right-hand side. I made a choice to remain still. Now I had two crazy people on two of my sides.

'Apologies ma'am,' the boy said to me ' Wrong person. Have a nice day.' And off he went behind the Mcdonalds building with this woman.

What just happened?

I get back on the pavement and walk away.

'Wait.' I hear behind me. I swing my body around and see that boy again!

'What do you want?'

'I just wanted to apologise. You just looked scared and I felt bad.' The boy smirked.

I looked at him. He'd take his hood off and his hair was ruffled.
This boy's mouth was amazing. His top lip was flawless. On the left side of his mouth, a perfect crease appeared when he smiled. He was cute. Really cute.

'Ma'am?' He asked again

'Uh... Don't- don't worry about it. It's fine. Thank you for your concern.'

He nodded, turning around and sauntering away.
