OLIVIA.
I stop at the reception, while Leo takes a seat in a chair behind me. I wait with talking until the young woman looks up. This isn't going to be a smooth conversation I can already tell by the look on her face, and she's young. 'Hello,' I say when she finally looks up. She puts on a big fake smile. 'Hi, where can I help you with?' She says with an Spanish accent. 'Yesterday in the afternoon I came here because my air conditioning wasn't and still isn't working. One of your colleges told me someone would come to fix it, but it isn't fixed. I don't know if nobody came or that it can't be fixed. But I payed for it so I want a working air conditioning.' I hope she understands everything. She should, I mean she works in a hotel. She looks around and says, 'she's the annoying girl from yesterday,' to a college in Spanish, while rolling her eyes. 'That's very nice of you,' I say in Spanish. I can speak Spanish fluently, but I still make mistakes in grammar sometimes. But people don't hear it because I learned a Spanish accents from my mom, and now Spanish people think I'm from there. It's funny sometimes. But I'd rather talk English actually, but mostly just speak Spanish. I decided not to talk Spanish here, because I had a feeling that they weren't going to be honest. It's cheap here. So like this they can't manipulate me. She looks shocked at me. 'Yeah I speak Spanish.' I fake smile. We continue speaking in Spanish. 'I'm sorry but they can't fix it.' She probably hates me even more with this trick. I think it's kinda funny. 'Can we get a new room then?' 'No.' This time I roll my eyes. 'Get me your manager please.' She looks on her computer. 'He's busy right know.' She looks back up with a smirk. 'Then get me some who's better than you.' I would love to say that but I don't. 'Get me some who's in a higher position than you, please.' I'm still trying to be polite, but I wanna punch her so hard right now. I've already lost my temper, but trying really hard to stay calm. And I really need someone else other than her. After a long time, at least it felt like that, I finally return to Leo. Who isn't alone anymore. Daniel joined him. What is he doing here? How did he got our address? Probably Tom. 'And?' He asks in English so Daniel can talk with us. 'Well we're getting a new room. After 10 years of arguing,' I exaggerate. Daniel softly giggles. I turn to him. 'What are you doing here?' I don't mind, he's nice. But doesn't he has a busy day or something? 'I have a little surprise.' He lets us wait. He has a big smile on his face. I take a seat next to Daniel, because it's taking me to long. And I've been standing for a while, so my feet are already hurting a little. 'I've upgraded your tickets on Sunday.' Leo starts smiling directly. 'Where are we sitting?' Leo asks curious about the places. 'That's a surprise.' Probably expensive. 'What about the money?' It looks like everything is about money with me, I just need to watch myself sometimes with my money. You know shopping and all that, I really shouldn't do that anymore though. I'm already holding myself back most of the time, it's just really hard. 'It's a gift from me. And you're getting the other money back.' That's a relief, now I can spend that on important things, not shopping, I have a house to pay for and food to buy. Not that I don't love watching formula 1, I do. But Leo bragged me to come with him, I love him so I made him happy. I also did it for my dad. And I love to see Barcelona again. 'That's really nice of you. Thank you,' I say. He smiles. 'No problem. If Tom didn't show me your amazing dance skills I wouldn't have thought about it.' His smile gets bigger, so is Leo's one. 'Alright! It's time to go.' I change the subject, slam my hands on the couch and stand up. Who hasn't seen those videos? It's so embarrassing. 'You are right, I really need to go,' he says when he looks at his watch. 'Someone will drop the tickets off in the afternoon.' We say goodbye and not much later the RedBull driver is out sight. 'Can you already date him?' Confused I look at my little brother, who's still sitting on the couch. 'What do you mean?' He raises his eyebrows. 'The way you look at him. It's different from your other male friend.' I'm still a little confused. 'You better shut up. Date him yourself.' I say offended. And I don't know why. He's cute. 'Come we need to switch rooms.'
I look at the people walking by, playing with the straw of my drink. Do I really look different at him? Leo is probably messing with me. 'Earth to Ollie!' Leo moves his hand in front of my face. 'What?' I question, not knowing if he said something. 'You should go on a date with him.' He smirks. 'We're both busy. Wait no! We aren't going to date.' I shake my head as I realized what I said. Quickly I take a sip of my drink. He has a big smirk on his face. 'Leave me alone.' I smile. I feel pretty embarrassed and my cheeks feel a little warm. I don't know Daniel. What if he is a dick behind everything you see on tv and all that other stuff. Behind the smile. And I would be dating Tom's friend, he probably doesn't like that idea, again.
