Chapter 8

When class ended I followed Jai out like I did in the class before. But this time, there were two boys waiting outside the door.

One was tan, with black hair and deep sharp brown eyes. Like me, he has a mark. Well, I'm pretty sure his is a tattoo. And his is a hoop design on his arm, while mine is a small design over my heart on my chest.

And the other was pale, with red brown hair and shadowy hazel eyes.

At first they just starred at me. Then the red head looked at Jai.

"Who's this?" He asked, noding to me.

"This is Selene Vander. She's new. I'm just showing her to her classes." Jai looked at me, then back at the two boys. I noded as in saying hi. "Selene? This is Jake." He noded to the tan boy standing in front of me. I looked at him and he noded at me with a flirtatious jerk smile. "And this is Peter." Jai noded to the red head. I looked over to him. He also noded. But while trying to force a smile.

"Hi." I said to both of them, while giving a friendly smile.

"Guys? She has US Government next to. So shall we?" Jai noded in the opposite direction. And we all noded.

I was walking beside Jai while thw two boys -Jake and Peter- were behind us. I started to feel a rubing on my hand, and I looked down. Jai's fingers were messing with my hand. I looked up at him. He looked over at me and smiled. Right when I was about to do something, Peter pushed himself in between Jai and me. I backed up and started walking beside Jake.

"Don't worry about him. He's probably just jealous." Jake said in a low voice to me.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh. Well Peter's been friends with Jai sense they were really little. And sense he along with almost everyone knows it's because of his family, if someone gets to close to Jai to fast Peter gets jealous and kinda freaks."

"His family?"

"His dad is like the right hand man to Jai's dad. So their familys are close, which in turn made them close."

"Oh. Well you could've just said that."

"Sorry. So... You're new here? What about the area?" Jake asked. 'God did he have to ask this?! Couldn't he have asked anything else?!' I thought to myself.

"Um. I guess you could say that. I mean. I'm not that new to the area, but to the school I am."

"Well that probably explains why I've never heard the name Vander before. Is it a family name?" 'Are you freakin serious?!'

"I guess. Well sort of. It was supposably my parents name."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh. Well I'm adopted."

"Dang." By this time we were almost to class. "Well, hey? You wanna join us for lunch?" He asked before he walked through the door.

"Um. Sure."

"Great!" A large smile appeared on Jake's face.

I walked through the door. Again, this was a male teacher. But this one wasn't as good looking. I told him who I was and he told me to take a seat. I turned around.

All three of the guys were in the back. The only empty seat was infront of Jai.

As I headed back there I felt a smile grow on my face. Well at least until I heard something.

It was a growl. And it was low. I'm guessing it was intended for me. I looked around, and only saw one person it could have been.

A girl with strange orange red hair. She looks like she has brown eyes. And she was giving me a pissed off look. For some reason this girl was definitely not happy with me. But why? What did I do? I don't recognize her. And that growl definitely means she's a werewolf.

I kept going, and sat down. Someone tapt me on my shoulder and it was Jai.

"Are you ok?" He asked in a hush tone. He must've seen my face.

"Yea."

"Ok." I turned back to the teacher, and it felt like Jai had started playing with my hair. It felt good so I didn't try to stop him.
