Chapter 13

I finished my breakfast and cup of coffee. Ander had finally finished getting ready and was chugging down his coffee, and stuffed one of my waffles down his throat.

We walked out the door at the same time. Literally. We were next to each other and tried to squeeze through. When his arm brushed against mine I thought I felt something, but I quickly got out of that situation before I got the chance to think about it. Ander had stopped mid step when my arm touched his. I turned around to look at him. He was stairing at his arm.

"Ander?" I questioned. A simple 'hmm?' is all I got back. "What's wrong?" He looked up at me.

"Nothing. I was just thinking."

"Um..Ok. See at school." I made my way to my bike. I started her up, and left before Ander had even sat on his.

When I got to the school, I drove to the spot where bikes were to be parked. Right next to my spot was a car I didn't recognize, but somehow I knew who it belonged to. I started to fight my wolf on whether we should leave or just come up with a plan to survive the day with out almost running Jai over. When I was done thinking, and getting off my bike, the late bell rang.

'Well, shit.' I thought to myself. I pulled out my phone. Apparently I had taken longer than I thought on something. It was now 8:25. I put my jacket in my bag, and began to run. I was new and so far the office lady liked me. If i made it to the office at a good timing she might get me a late pass.

In mid run, I hit someone and fall to the ground. Again. Just like yesterday, just some where else. I looked up to the same hypnotizing green eyes. He was stairing straight back into my purple ones. Neither of us making a move, until I started to get up and grab my bag. At the exact same time Jai grabbed it to. I looked back up to him giving him the death glare.

"Selene?" A chill went down my spine at the sound of him saying my name. I looked away, not wanting to hear it. "I need to talk to you."

"No." He seemed to be shocked by this answer.

"What'd you say?"

"You heard me correctly. I said 'No'." My wolf began yelling at me about shutting him down, saying I should at least hear him out. but I was scared... i guess. I was partly afraid to. Thinking if I did listen I would fall for him. i snatched my bag away from him and began walking toward the office again.

The office lady, who I found out's name is Mrs. Marie, did give me a late pass. She did ask me not to be late again though. When I got to class, Jai was already there, but i gave my note to Mrs. McCrowly, and walked to my seat in complete silence. A couple of times during class, Jai tried to get my attention, but failed as I was ignoring him. I made it to sixth period without saying a word to anyone. And sense I knew Jai and his buddies had the same lunch as me, I decided to just skip and go to the library.

I can read books pretty quickly, especially when I've read them already. Sadly I had decided not to hide by the shelves, but instead to just sit on one of the couches to read. I was right in the middle of the latest version of 'The Mortal instruments', when someone decided to pull me back to the real world.

The door swung open with a loud thud. By the smell and the feeling in my gut, it was...Thats right. You guessed it. Jai.

After that, he quickly came over to me and stood towering above me. I slowly looked up from my book after a low growl, which i expect was from me not paying any attention to him. He looked full of mixed emotion, but his eyes weren't their usual emerald green, but a shade darker that led to a shady forrest color. My wolf started to howl and whimper at the look Jai was giving us. But of course I held it all in.

He reacted again when I didn't do or say anthing to him, by grabbing my wrist tightly and ripping me from the couch, which made me drop my book and not able to grab my bag. Of course everyone was watching as he dragged me out of the library, without saying anything. And a couple gave me a look of pity and confusion. He kept dragging me behind him up until we reached the football field which happened to be right next to the woods. He looked as if he was about to speak, but I was way ahead of him.

"What the hell was that for?!" I asked pretty pissed.

"And now she speaks!"

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"Really?! What the fuck am I talking about?!" I nodded lying, but knowing exactly what he was talking about. "Hm... What the fuck am I talking about?!" He said being sarcastic. "Oh, right! About you ignoring me all fucking day!" I didn't know what to say to this. "And there you go again!" To this I kind of jumped. All of his yelling got me a little scared. He noticed this and started to try and calm himself down. "Selene?" Just like this morning, I looked away. He forcefully grabbed my chin between his thumb and index finger, and pulled my face in a way I would have to look at him. "What's wrong?" Out of this, I thought of a plan.

"What's wrong with me? What the hell was you dragging me out of the library like that for?! And what are you trying to do?! Because you seemed nice yesterday, but now... you're scarring me." To this his hand dropped, and I could see the pain in his eyes.

"You're the one that's changed sense yesterday not me." He simply said. "I really like you ok. And I thought you liked me to. But I guess not." He started to turn and walk away. And to these actions my wolf took over.

She reached out a grabbed his arm. "Wait!" He turned back, and I squeezed our eyes shut before he could see the change. Meet me after school?" 'What the hell are you doing?!?!' I screamed in my head. 'What we should've done in the begining.' She answered. I started to fight to have control. While this was happening I felt someone caress my cheek. My only guess was Jai.

"Please open your beautiful eyes Selene?" This request helped me to win,, he had dristracted her long enough for me to get control back into my own hands. I waited another minute to respond to his request, to make sure my eyes went back to normal.

When I looked, he was only inches away from my own face. And unconciously, I started to close the space between us. But when I did notice, I stopped, smiled and backed away. To this another low growl errupted from his chest. Trying to show I noticed what I heard I asked panick leaking from my voice "What was that?? Please tell me you heard that to??". To this his eyes softened and he took a step towards me.

I let him reach for me, but out of nowhere someone felt the need to save me.

"Hey, Jai?" It was a guy, and because of those two things I heard yet another low growl. We both turned in the direction of the voice. It was...

Hey guys! It's been pretty hectic and the writers block isn't helping.  Sorry! But hopefully to make it up to y'all, I wrote this one with a cliffhanger and I'm pretty sure it's longer than a lot of the ones I have been writing.
