I don't know why I ran off. Maybe because he almost kissed me. But when I started running that's all i could think about doing.

So instead of going to the rest of my classes, or going to my bike I just kept running until I got deep into the woods behind the school. Only a few yards away from me was a lake, a massive lake.

My wolf side wanted to come out, but before i gave her a chance to i realized something.

half of this lake was on enemy territory. They were probably watching me right now. I need to be careful of what I do.

So I just walked up to the lake shore and sat down on the stones. (This was one of those lakes that had stones instead of sand.) And I started to think.

I thought about Jai and the jolt from this morning. If he might be a werewolf. The threat Lebane gave me not to long ago. My family. What my biological family is like. My past... with all of my dark secrets I'm gonna do my best to keep hidden.

Just thinking about my history made me tear up. I pulled my legs up to my chest and began to cry into my hands and knees. Truthfully I was happy no one was there to comfort me. No one to see me cry...

Halfway through my breakdown, I heard a ringing I paid no attention to before. It also started to grow dark. I pulled out my phone. It was 4:30 pm (yea. it gets dark fast here). That ringing was the school bell signaling the day had ended and people could go home. I opened my phone and begun to text Ander.

me- 'might be late gettin home. tell mom and dad for me.'

Ander- 'ok. hey wats up?'

me- 'nm. jst have to study. so im gonna stay in library until done'

Ander- 'ok. u can explain later. see u when u get home. :)'

Ugh.... I hated how he could tell even from a text thatI wasn't telling the whole truth.

I closed my phone and put it back into my bag. I got up and started back to the school.

On my way back I ran into a boy who was running and happened not to see me. Yup. The one and only Jai.

Again we both fell to the ground. "Ouch." I started rubbing the side of my forehead.

"Oh. Sorry. I didn't see you." He looked at me.

"Of course you didn't." I said sarcastically. "Please tell me you're not gonna make a habit out of this?" He had gotten up and started to help me up.

"I'm not trying to. And you're right. We have to stop meeting this way."

"Ugh..." I shook my had. "Whatever. I need to go." I started walking again. Right when I was about to pass him, he grabbed my arm. "Hey! Let go of me!" I started to push him off and trying to get away from him. But his grip just kept getting tighter.

"Not until you tell me whats going on? Why did you skip the rest of your classes?" I looked away. "Is it me? Did I do something?"

I started to shake my head. "No. It's not you..." I still wasn't looking at him.

He tried to pull me in a way where I was looking at him. "Then what is it?" I looked up into his eyes.

"Remember when you said I'm not like you?" He slightly noded, with pain showing of that very recent memory. "Well you were right." I took a gulp and a breathe trying to hold back the tears. "I'm worse..." His mouth dropped, and before he could do anything else I pulled myself from his grasp and again started running.

"What do you mean??" I heard him yell behind me. I didn't answer.
