The Entity (Pokemon Fan-Fiction)

>Prologue<

"This meeting shall now begin.", announced Chairman Henry.

"But first I shall call role, to see if anyone is absent.", he continued.

"From the Sinnoh Region, Professor Rowan. Gym Leaders: Rorak, Gardenia, Maylene, Crasher Wake, Fantina, Byron, Candice, and Volkner. Elite Four Members: Aaron, Bertha, Flint, and Lucian. And the Sinnoh Region's Champion, Cynthia.", he called out.

"We're all in attendance.", replied Professor Rowan.

"Thank you, professor.", the Chairman said before he continued. "From the Kanto Region, Professor Samuel Oak. Gym Leaders: Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge, Erika, Sabrina, Janine, Blaine, and Giovanni. Elite Four Members: Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, and Gary. And the Kanto Region's Champion, Red."

"We're all here as well.", Professor Oak answered.

The chairman nodded then continued. "From the Johto Region, Professor Elm. Gym Leaders: Falkner, Bugsy, Whitney, Morty, Chuck, Jasmine, Pryce, and Claire. Elite Four Members: Will, Koga, Brendon, and Karen. And the Johto Region's Champion, Lance."

"We're here.", said Professor Elm.

"From the Hoenn Region, Professor Birch. Gym Leaders: Roxanne, Brawly, Wattson, Flannery, Norman, Winona, Liza & Tate, and Juan. Elite Four Members: Sidney, Glacia, Phoebe, and Drake. And the Hoenn Region's Champion, Steven."

"We're all present.", said Professor Birch.

"From the Unova Region, Professors Aurea and Cedric Juniper. Gym Leaders: Cheren, Lenora, Cilan, Chili, Cress, Roxie, Elesa, Burgh, Clay, Skyla, Brycen, Drayden, and Marlon. Elite Four Members: Shantaul, Marshal, Grimsley, and Caitlin. And the Unova Region's Champion, Iris, and Former Champion, Alder."

"We're all attentive.", said Professor Aurea Juniper.

"And finally, from the Kalos Region, Professor Augustine Sycamore. Gym Leaders: Viola, Grant, Korrina, Ramos, Clemont, Valerie, Olympia, and Wulfric. Elite Four Members: Wilkstorm, Malva, Drasna, and Siebold. And the Kalos Region's Champion, Diantha."

"We're present.", said Professor Sycamore.

"Seems everyone is here. We can now begin.", said the chairman.

"The reason we have called you all here is because it has been almost one century now.", he continued.

"Almost one century since what?", asked the champion of Kalos, Diantha.

"Almost one century since 7 noble trainers sealed away the dark entity that plagued the Pokemon World.", said the champion of Sinnoh, Cynthia.

"Precisely. These noble trainers were from many different regions. Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Johto, Unova, and Kalos. Together, they fought this dark entity, and succeeded in sealing him away.", said the chairman.

"Cynthia said there were 7 of them.", Diantha said as more of question than a statement.

"Yes. The 7th being a friendly Pokemon Breeder who accompanied them and provided much needed support.", the chairman reassured her.

"Where did this entity come from?", asked Professor Birch from Hoenn.

"Well...Many years ago, there was a Pokemon trainer named Jeffrey Cummings. He was a great trainer, and he loved Pokemon with all of his heart. Then, one day his partner, Ampharos, became very ill. He tried everything he could, but there was no saving the Light Pokemon. His trusted partner Pokemon died, and so did his love for battle, and for Pokemon. He had other Pokemon as well. They tried everything to make him feel better, but it was to no avail."
