Just wanted to apologize for putting the book off for so long. Can't promise that I can update as frequently as I need to, but I will most def update more! I just didn't have time with college, extracurricular activities, etc. But, it's the summer now so I will write as much as I can. This book switches between POVs a lot. So, please keep reading. And for goodness sake, if you read the book, you might as well vote. There's no way I should have 80+ reads on a chapter and only one vote.

>Nichi's POV<

We arrived to the island last night, roughly around 11:25 pm. We immediately got settled into our rooms and went straight to bed, considering the next day would be a long one. Wake up call was at 7 am. We were to report immediately to the battle area behind the hotel to meet the Champions. I was late to the meeting yesterday, so I was determined to get there early. After grabbing breakfast, I headed immediately to the battle area exactly at 7:00, only to find that everyone else was already there, including Wyatt the Pokémon Breeder.

"It's about time.", Kevin mocked.

"Just because report time is 7 am, that doesn't mean 7 exactly. To be on time is to be late.", Tyler added.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm on time.", I countered throwing him a glare.

"Thank you all for taking initiative and showing up for training on time.", Diantha announced. "Now, for the first part of your training, we will be testing how well you guys can connect with your Pokémon. Given the information we were given, you must be able to forge strong bonds with the people and Pokémon you've come in contact with in order for this mission to go on successfully."

"Piece of cake! Me and my Pokémon have an awesome bond!", Pablo said clenching his fist in success.

"Mine too.", Miranda added.

"No arguments here.", Kevin scoffed.

"Don't be silly.", Iris interrupted. "It's obvious you guys have a solid bond with your own Pokémon. What's the test in that?"

"You guys will each be given a random Pokémon.", Alder announced.

"And these Pokémon will not be easy to get along with. They're known for being trouble makers and hard to get along with.", Cynthia added.

"You will have two days to establish a bond with these Pokémon, or rather, get along with them.", Steven chimed in.

"When these two days are over, we will battle to see your results.", Diantha stated.

"Don't worry, we'll be doing the same thing. We'll each get a random Pokémon just as you are and build a bond from nothing.", said Alder.

"Not only will you do that, but you will also be training yourselves.", Lance stated.
