Chapter 3: Change

SABLE'S POV

She seems nice...I meant Cinder at the time, she seemed to be a really nice person....although I have heard of some of the stuff she's done, she's the nicest person I've ever met.

After about ten minutes of waiting, two people walked in, one I recognised as Emerald, the other one was short with pink and brown hair split down the middle.

"Hello again Sable." Emerald said to me, then the short one waved at me, so I waved back at them.

"What brings you two here?" I asked them, they both then smiled and walked up.

"Sit Down Please." She said, I Did as she told me and sat down on the bench I was on earlier. Then the short one pulled out a pair of scissors, making me very weary.

"Alright, now stay still Sable, Okay?" Emerald said as she pulled out her own pair of scissors. As a result, I closed my eyes and tensed my body up, bracing for the pain.

But it never came, all I felt was my hair being cut. I still kept my eyes closed though, just in case.

CINDER'S POV

I sent Mercury and Roman into Sable after Emerald and Neo came out. Neo left, but I told Emerald to stay so that I could speak to her.

"Yes Cinder?" She said, I looked over at her, considering I was on a chair on the opposite side of the room.

"How was he?" I asked her, she seemed confused at first, then I gave her a glare and she understood.

"Ah, He seemed mostly okay, didn't fight back, but he was very tense and seemed to be expecting something." She replied, I nodded at her.

"That's obviously a result of what he's been through." I stated, she nodded at me.

"But...he's not there anymore, shouldn't he be okay now?" She asked confusedly, I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Just because he's out of there doesn't mean he's okay." I told her, she thought about it for a moment.

"I guess that makes sense..." She said. She turned around to head for the door, but stopped mid-way and turned around.

"Um, Cinder? May I ask a question?" She asked me, I raised an eyebrow at her, but gestured with my hand for her to go on.

"Why were you so keen to get Sable away from that Home? What asset would he be to us?" She asked me, I didn't want to admit the real reason, but I thought I had to or she wouldn't get off my case.

"Honestly? I pitied him, I thought he deserved a better life than what he had, and I decided to get him out." I told her, she then nodded and left the room, allowing me some alone time...

Timeskip

STILL CINDER'S POV

I was in my bedroom, I had told Mercury and Roman to send Sable into my quarters after they finished with him, and I assumed that they should be done at that point.

After a few minutes, I heard a knock on my door.

"It's open." I said loudly, loud enough for them to hear anyway. The door opened and a male walked in, black hair with a blue tinge that was cut short and slicked back to look neat.

"Sable." I said to him, kinda guessing considering he looked so different. He nodded at me and I smirked a bit, then circled around him so that he thought I was establishing dominance, when in all honesty, I just wanted a better look at him.
I looked at him from the front once more and noticed his eyes were closed tight and he was extremely tense, obviously from feeling the way I made him feel.
I felt kinda bad for scaring him, so I put my hand on his shoulder gently. He opened his eyes slowly and looked directly at me. I smiled at him to reassure that he was okay.
