Chapter 5: Decision

CINDER'S POV

When we got back to the base, I told Mercury and Emerald to talk to the people that moved the crates about Sable, and after that, I just left for my room, needing some time to myself.

I walked to my room and locked the door after walking in, then laid down on my bed, just looking at the ceiling, my hair laying in a mess.

"Do I really love Sable?....." I asked myself, not expecting an answer, and I didn't get one, only silence. I put my hands on my chest and started thinking of him, how damaged he was, how much he needed love, how caring he was, how he looked when he was embarrassed...I loved him.

I touched my lips with my fingertips a second later, wondering how a kiss with him would be...I imagined that it would be friendly, passionate, maybe even a little dominant....I wanted to kiss him so much, for him to hold me, kiss me, maybe even.....give me Children.....

Why was I thinking about that? Children. I was a wanted criminal, I couldn't have kids.......could I?

I was at a crossroads with myself, not knowing which way to go, I could continue the way I'm going, The life of a criminal, always on the run, not allowed to settle down, or I could alter course, stay with Sable and have a family, be normal, Be Happy.

I knew that I wouldn't be able to decide on the spot, so I got up and decided to check up on Sable, however, what I saw made my stomach turn.

What I saw were a bunch of goons pushing Sable around until he fell to the floor, where one stepped on his tail and walked over him to me while the others started to stomp on him.

"Hello Ms. Fall, how may I-" I quickly stopped him by summoning both my swords and stabbed him in the throat.

All of the goons looked and saw what happened.

I pulled the sword out and walked over to the rest of them, fire surrounding my eyes.

"Leave him be, or you will all wind up like him." I said, gesturing to the corpse of the goon I killed, they all ran off after I said that.

I went to Sables side and made my swords go away, he was unconscious, but breathing.

I quickly got Mercury and Emerald to get him to his room and take care of him for a bit after he woke up, so that I could know he was okay.

~TIMESKIP~

After a few hours of worrying, Mercury and Emerald came up to me.

"He's okay, no serious injuries." Emerald told me, I let out a sigh of relief.

"Can I see him?" I asked, Mercury shook his head.

"He's sleeping, it wouldn't be smart to wake him at the moment, so maybe wait for the morning, we already told him that he can take time off." He said, I was happy that they told him that he could take time off, but also a little upset that I couldn't see him.

"Alright, thank you both." I told them, then walked to my room to take a shower.

When I got in, I thought about Sable, if he was okay, what injuries he could have, I was still worried about him.

But then I started thinking about other things, like how he would look in a suit, what we would name our kids.....how he would kiss......

That final thought lingered in my head, how he would Kiss. That feeling of his lips on mine. I figured that he would be shy at first, but would slowly get more confident.

After I finished my thoughts, I had a bit more of a wash and got out, drying myself and getting back into my dress.

I went to Sables room once I was finished, I saw him in his bed with bandages over his chest, arms, and tail, it saddened me to see him like this, but seeing it for a second time? That was worse.

I walked up to him and sat beside his bed, just staring at him, wondering if settling down with him would be the right decision.

I continued to think about this for a while until I felt myself leaning into him, I knew I wanted this, I knew I wanted Him, I just wasn't sure if he wanted Me.

I thought of what he said at the cafe, there was someone he liked, it was someone that took him in when no one else would, who saved him and cared for him.

Only now did I realise though.

He was talking about me.

I cared for him, I took him in, I sent Mercury, Emerald and Roman to save him, and know I knew that not only had I fallen for him, he'd fallen for me.

I was about to lean in and kiss him, but I heard him groan, so I frowned and went back into my seat.

"Sable? Are you awake?" I asked, I saw his eyes open and look at me, but then he sighed a bit angrily and closed his eyes again.

"Why are you here?" He asked, a little angrily, I was confused at his anger, not knowing why I would deserve such a negative response.

"I just came to check up on you...." I told him, half lying, I mean, I did want to check up on him, but I also wanted to see his face to help me make a decision.

"Well I'm fine, you can leave now." He told me, the same way as before, I was shocked at his attitude, so I questioned it.

"Alright, what's going on?" I asked, he looked at me for a second, but looked at the roof.

"Mercury and Emerald....they told me some things I hope aren't true...." He told me, and I immediately went into a killing mood.

"What did they tell you?" I asked, hiding my anger in curiosity.

"That I'm only here out of pity....that you don't really care about me....." He told me, I went out of my killing mood and put my head in my hands.

"Is it true?" He asked, I looked up at him, shocked.

"No, no absolutely not, you're not here out of Pity, I care about you." I told him, putting my hands on his arm.

"You don't have to lie to me Ms. Fall, I want the truth..." He told me, so, not knowing what else to do, I kissed his cheek.

"That is the truth..." I told him, he blushed bright red and looked away.

"B-But...E-Emerald told me that-" He began, but I cut him off.

"That I told her that I pitied you? That was a lie, I didn't know how I felt back then." I told him, he looked back at me, still bright red.

"D-Do you know now?" He asked quietly, I smiled at him, then nodded.

"Yes, I do." I told him, smile still on my face. He was clearly very nervous, which I loved to see.

I then leaned forward so that I was even closer to him.

"I know what I want now..." I told him, he looked at me, blush still on his face.

Then I thrusted forward and kissed him, my eyes closed and my left hand on his cheek. He was extremely surprised, he had no idea what to do, making me smile into the kiss.

When I pulled away, the smile was still on my face.

"You know you can kiss back, right?" I told him, then he immediately kissed me again, slightly surprising me this time, but I quickly kissed back, my hand still on his cheek.

After a minute, we split apart, our foreheads together and our breathing slightly heavy.

"I want you....I want to settle down....have kids....get married.....all of it if I can do it with you...." I told him, he looked very nervous, but nodded.

"As long as I'm with you...I'm happy..." He told me, I smiled and was about to kiss him again, until the door opened.

"Everything Alright in here?" I ears Mercury ask, I was incredibly mad, so I just looked at the door and saw him just staring.

".......wrong time." He said, closing the door....lucky...I was about to burn him to a crisp...

Sable then chuckled a little, making me look at him and see him smiling.

"There's that smile I love..." I told him, kissing him again.

I was so happy.

Nothing could Ever take this away from me...
