Chapter 4: Blind

CINDERS POV

I was in a wooden cabin sitting in front of a fireplace, hands on my now large belly, given that I was pregnant.

After a moment of staring into the flames, I felt two arms wrap around me, I looked and saw that it was my husband Sable smiling at me, I smiled back and kissed him, then he put one of his hands on my belly, the other still wrapped around me.

I snuggled into his grasp as I heard him laugh a bit, then kiss my forehead.

"What took you so long?" I asked with a pout, he smiled and wrapped his other arm around me as well.

"I'm sorry darling, the job I had was infuriating and lasted much longer than I was told..." He told me as he kissed my neck, I really couldn't stay angry with him, so I smiled and let him kiss my neck.

"How's Ember?" He asked about our daughter, I smiled wider at this.

"She's sleeping, said that she missed you a lot while you were gone." I told him, he sighed at this.

"I know she misses me when I leave........you know what? How about I quit?" He asked me, I looked at him confusedly.

"But....But you love this job..." I said to him, wondering why he would want to quit.

"I love you and Ember more though, and you can bet that this little one will get just as much love." He said while lowering his hand to my belly again.

"Well, if it's what you want..." I told him, smile back on my face, then we shared another passionate kiss.

Then I woke up.

I sat up on my bed, my hair a mess. I looked around and saw that I was in my normal bedroom, no wooden cabin, no Sable, nothing.

"MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!" I screamed, I stood up and realised that I wasn't wearing much, so I quickly got changed into my normal dress.

Then I heard a knock on the door, and I was really angry, so I swung it open and stared daggers into the person on the other side, which was Emerald.

"What?" I said coldly (The Irony), she stepped back at my gaze and my tone, but continued to say what she wanted to say.

"I-I heard you yell, so I came to check on you..." She told me nervously, my gaze didn't let up, so she got even more nervous.

"I-I heard noises coming from Sables room on my way here...they didn't sound very positive..." She told me, I was confused, so I quickly fixed my hair and quickly walked to Sables room, and Emerald was correct, strange noises were coming from the other side.

I tried to open the door, and it was unlocked, which was strange in on itself, given I didn't know anyone who slept with their door unlocked, but regardless, I walked in anyway.

I heard the noises clearer now, and I knew that they were coming from the bedroom...they sounded like pained moans and begging...

I walked into his bedroom and saw him in his bed tossing and turning, the moans, groans and begs were definitely negative and were from pain, so I walked up and tried to wake him up.

"Sable! Wake up!" I told him, he eventually did, shooting up, almost hitting my head with his.

He saw me after a second and hugged me, surprising me, but I hugged back, I felt his sweat, but I didn't care, I was hugging the man I wanted to be with.

I heard him crying after I hugged back, so I wrapped my arms around him further, and with my almost bare hands, I could feel so many scars....so much pain.....so much need for someone to care.......
