The world has know of werewolves for 60 years, and they have ruled the world for 40. I live with my dad and best friend Maddie. Maddie is human, as well as my dad and I. We lived in a small town in Colorado, as far away from the Capital as it got. Our small Rocky Mountain town was just a speck in the maps and minds of the Alpha's.The Capital is where the world is ruled from. Not many people know exactly where the Capital is, but we knew the general location. Greece was where my dad had put his money on. I said somewhere close to the center of the earth, so Greece is close enough.
All mystical beings spanned out from the Capital. It served as a heart for all, the main vessel of supernatural life. The most magic and power flowed from there, and dimmed out as you got further away. The world is also ruled from one man, the Alpha King, Edward Steele. He, his wife, and his children live in the Capitol. His son, Leonidas, will take command of the world when he finds his mate.
Leonidas is said to be twice as strong as his father, the power emitting from him makes all who come in contact with him bow. Considering that all wolves live twice as long as humans, he may look only about 20, but was most likely close to 70, maybe even 80.
The local pack is small, but still rules over us non-supers. I work at the local bar, from 11 pm, to 4 am. The pack men who have patrols always stop by after to have a few drinks and talk about the world news. I swear they gossip more than their mates do...

"Ellie, can you get us boys another round?" The locals were rowdy tonight, much more than usual. It was only 12 and most of the men had consumed enough alcohol to make them tipsy. Werewolves had special alcohol that was infused with wolfsbane. This gave them the normal effect of alcohol as if they were human, but administered in large doses it would kill them. Wolves had a faster metabolism than humans and generally most Supers, thus the need for alcohol infused with a deadly substance. They would feel nothing drinking human alcohol.
Because if it can't kill you, why drink it at all, right?
Ellie filled the Guinness glasses again, and slid the drinks down to early patrol crew. She paused to wipe down a few spills by their space at the bar when she heard some interesting news.
The local man gossiper, Gilbert, was at it again, except this time it sounded like real news. The bar was dimly lit, and music was always playing in the background. Pool was played constantly, and the drinks never stopped. It was no surprise that the patrols came here after their shifts. No women would be caught dead here, well no Super women would be caught dead here.
Because humans were at the bottom of the food chain now, they had a hard time getting by. Most Supers held contempt and anger toward humans, mainly because some idiots thought it would be a great idea to torture the Supers when get first let their existence be known. Pups were murdered, young girls were raped, mates were separated for good, overall it was a horrible time. Ellie recalls these band of fools being led by someone named Donald Trump, or was it Donald Crump...? She couldn't remember. She didn't go to school, and quiet frankly didn't care for what her ancestors did to people before her. All she could do was apologize and move on.
From what she's heard from the local pack, the old world was a place filled with hate. A place where no one could be themselves. Yes, she didn't get treated all that well here now, but she not suppressed and ridiculed for being who she was. It helped that she was so quiet, never drawing attention to her self.
"...They should be here by the weekend. I can't believe they would come to this tiny town. I know the Alpha King holds a place for the Rocky Mountains in his heart, because he grew up here, but damn man! I have a chance at the Royal guard!" Gilbert's voice ripped her from her deep thoughts, and she was slightly stunned by his words. The Alpha King was coming here? Why?
Ellie just hope for the best. She wanted no trouble. Her soul was to delicate and too kind for violence. If only she knew what lay ahead of her...
