Chapter 3 the iron legion attacks

Y/n: It was a normal day for me. I was walking around not doing much. But then I noticed someone trying to be very sneaky. I may be dumb but I knew that it was iron legion. Grizz saw the peace keeper too. He went behind her and pinned her down with one foot. She could not get back up. I took her weapons. Grizz got off of her and I bound her hands.

peace keeper: Stupid black stone. The iron legion will destroy you.

Y/n: Nah. Darkness is too powerful for iron. 

I took her to the prison and put her in the cell. I continued walking around the castle minding my own business. But that would not last long. Later that day the iron legion launched an assault on the castle. This is going to be fun. 

(Apollyon) 

The iron legion is finally making their move. About dam time. They wasted no time in storming our walls trying to break our resistance. But sadly for them. One side still held. The north side was being held by a lone warden and a cave bear. I knew it was Y/n and Grizz. The iron legion started trying everything to push Y/n and Grizz off the walls. But they could not defeat them. I decided to join the two. Y/n and I ended up being back to back. 

Y/n: Oh hey Apollyon. Isn't this fun? 

Apollyon: You should take this seriously.

Y/n: Aw, but that is no fun.

Apollyon: *sigh* I still do not understand how you function. 

We continued holding the enemy at the wall. The iron legion had no choice but to retreat. I was impressed with Y/n for fearlessly defending the wall by himself. I was unimpressed with my troops that failed to hold their walls. it showed that my troops were not ready for war. I decided to make training twice as tough. If I did not than we should surely fall. Even Grizz was training.  And by training I mean he ate the practice dummies. I really should have not been surprised. He is a bear after all. 

And a few months later the iron legion once again attacked. But this time we were ready. They did not push us off a single wall before they retreated. And now I knew we could hold out. The black stone legion will not fall again. And war will go on as it should. But once again I had the problem of my sense of safety when Y/n is around. Lucky for me I knew where I could find him. The kitchen. Ever since he first made meat at the cave. He became the cook for the castle. People do have concerns since a bear is in the kitchen. But it is worse to have Grizz wandering around without Y/n nearby. He saw me enter. 

Y/n: Oh hey Apollyon.

Apollyon: Hi Y/n. What are you up to?

Y/n: Cooking. 

 An awkward silence filled the room. Even thought it seemed like Y/n did not care because he hummed as he cooked. 

Apollyon: Y/n.

Y/n: Hmm? 

Apollyon: What did you do before this.

Y/n: Walked around.

Apollyon: No I mean before you joined the legion.

Y/n: Well. I kind of did my own thing. No one really accepted me. They all just kind of hated me. The only ones who did not hate me was my brother Will. And my cousin Siv. Most of my family hates me because I am not smart. 

I was angered about this. When I gripped the wooden table next to me. I broke a piece of it off. Y/n did not care and continued to work. 

Apollyon in head: I will gut each and everyone of them. Wait. Why do I feel this way about him? It could not possibly be LOVE could it? I lost that a long time ago. 

As I was pondering this Y/n finished making the food. 

Y/n: Done! I'll be off. Grizz and I are going to do some foraging.

He left and that is when I figured it out. I love Y/n.
