Chapter 7 the vikings fall

Y/n: We are getting closer and closer to where the warborn leader is. The Raider will fall. And today was that day. We attacked their fort. Every inch of ground we payed with blood. The vikings used brute strength to try and push us out. But with me and my friends in the front. They could not push us back. Soon we were half and half with the vikings. But they did not give up. Only when The Raider came out did the fighting stop.

Raider: Apollyon! Show your face! 

Apollyon stepped forward. 

Apollyon: So you are the legendary Raider. Finally I meet you face to face.

Raider: Face me! 

Apollyon: No. 

Siv stepped forward.

Raider: You fight with the black stone legion! Why?! 

Siv: It matters not where I come from. My family needs me. And I will forever answer the call. 

Raider: Traitor! 

Will stepped forward. 

Will:  You call her a traitor. But yet she is doing what is best for her people. Y/n will bring peace to everyone. 

Raider: And where is this Y/n now?

I stepped forward.

Y/n: Here. Fight me Raider. Let us see who is better.

Raider: With pleasure. 

We clashed and started to fight.  The first swing was heavy. But I dodged it. I swung but they blocked it and went for another swing. The fight went that way for some time. But soon I proved to be better. The darkness grabbed the ax and broke it in half. I put my blade up against their neck.

Y/n: Surrender. Please. Do not cause more bloodshed. 

Raider: And let you control us? 

Y/n: No. I only want this war to end. It was started for no good reason. Help me end it. The only threat left if you join us is the samurai. Especially the Emperor's champion. We must defeat them. Apollyon fell to them. But with all of us they will not be able to win. 

Raider: I do not understand your motives. 

Y/n: I love fighting. But not a war that causes so many deaths. Will you join me?

Raider: The war born will fight beside you! 

Everyone let out a cheer. 

We started getting ready for the final push. And it was hard getting knights and vikings to get along. But the leaders were able to keep peace going. One day Siv approached me.

Siv: Hey Y/n.

Y/n: Hi Siv. 

Siv: Look Y/n. I just want to say thank you. 

Y/n: For what? Did I do something right?

Siv: Yeah. You did not conquer the Vikings. And for that I thank you. Once this is over people will be able to live their lives normally.

Y/n: Normal does not exist.

Siv: Yeah I guess so. But thanks again Y/n. You are the best cousin a girl could ask for.

Y/n: No problem.

Siv walked away. Will walked up.

Will: Nice work Y/n. You are doing great!

Y/n: Thanks Will. 

Will: No problem big brother.

A messenger came up and handed Will a letter. He opened it. 

Will: It is from mom anddad!

Y/n in head: Why don't they ever send me a letter? I wrote about what I did and had it sent to them. Are they still disappointed in me?

The messenger came back.

Messenger: Sorry Y/n. There is one for you too.

He handed me the letter. My heart skipped a beat. I opened it as fast as I could. 

  

( Dear Y/n) 

What the hell do you mean you are fighting WITH them?! They are savages that deserved to be slaughtered! But we should have expected that from you! If Will was in charge then peace would have already been made! You have an entire legion and you still fail!  We just can not understand how you are this stupid! Who cares if the Vikings die! Kill them all! Don't swaddle them! Hopefully you won't be so soft on the samurai! We would not be surprised if you died out there! 

Y/n in head: Why do they not love me? I am doing my best. And I am winning.  Why am I also doing something wrong. 

I looked at it sadness on my face.

Will: Brother?

Y/n: I'm. Going to go find Apollyon.

Will concerned: Okay.

I walked away.

Y/n in head: Why? What do I have to do? I don't want to kill everyone. Is their love worth it though? 

 Apollyon saw me walking around. 

Apollyon: *walks up* Y/n.

I turned around and she saw my face.

Apollyon: Y/n?

Y/n sad: They sent me a letter. 

Apollyon knew who I meant.

Apollyon: Y/n. That is great! 

Y/n: No it isn't. Read it. *hands over letter*.

She started to read it. She had a look of anger on her face. She threw it on the ground and stomped on it over and over. 

Apollyon: They want to call you soft!? You've done what people fail to do for decades! They are the only ones who will be mad at you! And I don't care about them! If they do not care for you! Then they can go die! I love you Y/n! And nothing you do will change that! 

Y/n: Thanks Apollyon. I love you too. 

Apollyon: Don't worry Y/n It will all be okay. I promise.
