His Last Wish

THE BELL rang and everybody stood up, the events coordinator gave her cue that the ceremony is about to start.

Everybody faces one direction, waiting for the most special girl of this day.

When the door opens, the melody of their wedding song started to fill the whole church, making our eyes got teary

OMG! This is it.

Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead🎵

And there, the most special girl of this day arrived. Wearing her white shining shimmering wedding gown. Everybody clapped of her arrival and started to get emotional. I felt relieved that I saw her, I had a thought that she won't show up or what.

I look at her groom, he's now crying beside me. I tapped his shoulder and I really feel how happy he is seeing her soon to be wife standing from afar, ready to face life with her.

With that thought, I smiled bitterly.

"Beks!" She called from the other line. I was busy reading some papers from work but I managed to answer her call.

"Why?" I said.

"Beks! Do you think is it okay now to have a boyfriend?!!" I suddenly got up with what I heard.

"Why? Did he already asked you?"

"Hmmm, Eeehhh Y-yes!" We both screamed and giggled. I almost throw my laptop because of her good news.

I thanked God that I am now alone in this office because I really look like crazy right now. Finally, after two years of being single, she learned to love again.

"And what did you say?" I said excitedly.

"I told him I'll give my answer later tonight! So what do you think? Is it the right time?"

"Do you like him right?"

"Of course!"

"Then say yes! You don't need to make it long. I know he's a good man, he will take care of you." I said honestly. I know her suitor, he's a good man and I like him for her.

"If that's your opinion, okay I'll say yes tonight!".

Suddenly, I remembered how she asked me to have a boyfriend. Before, it was just some kind of a petty good news for me but because of her last confession, I suddenly realized that she didn't delivered me a good news, she was asking for my permission.

I don't know what's with me today but my memories with her kept on bothering me the whole day especially last night. I kept on seeing her even in my dreams.

And I didn't sleep well, and I think it is because that. I never thought that it will really bothered me, big time.

So what's the meaning of this?

She started to walk slowly at the aisle with her father beside her. All of our attentions are now on her. Though I can't see her face yet, I know and I feel her happiness right now.
