Chapter 25

"Mama, how come Prue's not home?" Mateo asked as he got ready for bed, he seemed to ask this every night before bed.

"She's still not well." Normani responded with a sad smile.

Frowning, the five year old pulled on a shirt. "Why not?"

"I don't know." Normani said honestly. She ran her fingers through her hair.

The five year old nods and reaches up to push his bangs out of his face. "Mama, my tummy hurts."

A flash of panic crossed Normani's face, that's exactly what happened to Prue. "Lie down on your side." She instructed.

Mateo moves to lay down only to collapse on the floor and begin seizing.

"Shit!" Normani dropped down on her knees beside her son and rolled him onto his right side, holding him there. "Dinah!"

Dinah appeared in the room and helped hold him. "What happened?"

"Same thing that happened to Prue." Normani breathed out, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Taking a deep breath, Dinah stayed beside him until his seizure stopped. "We need to get all of the kids tested for this."

Normani nodded. "We need to take them all to the hospital, now." She breathed out.

Nodding, Dinah slowly picked Mateo up, the five year old breathing heavily. "Let's go."

Normani nodded. She left the room and got the other kids ready to go.

Ten minutes later, they were on their way to the hospital.

"Mama, my head hurts." Mateo mumbled from where he was laying across Normani's lap.

"Close your eyes and try to relax." Normani said softly. She slid her sunglasses on him.

Closing his eyes, Mateo tries to relax against Normani.

"Manz, call Ally. We're going to need her in case we need to get more service dogs." Dinah said as she made a left turn.

Normani pulled her phone from her pocket and called Ally's number.
"Hey Manz, what's up?" Ally asked as she answered the phone.

"Mateo had a seizure, we are taking him to the hospital." Normani said, she tried to stay calm.

Ally frowned. "I'm on my way."

Normani released a slow breath. "Please hurry." She pleaded.

"Don't worry, I'll be there soon." Ally responds.

Two weeks later, Mateo was found to be the only one other than Prue with seizure issues.

"Mama, what are we doing?" Mateo asked slowly as the walked into the same building Prue had gone for her service dog.

"You're getting a dog." Normani said softly. She ran her fingers through his hair and smiled softly.

The five year old smiled excitedly. "I'm getting a dog!?" He squealed looking toward Dinah and Ally.

Ally and Dinah smiled at him. "Yup." They said at the same time.
They were lead into the same room that Prue was taken to.

"Mama, what's that for?" Mateo asked, pointing at the chair in the middle of the room.

"You have to sit in it." Normani said softly, nudging Mateo towards the chair.

Making his way to the chair, Mateo climbs up and sits down, confusion written on his face.
