LUNCH

"I'll see you guys later," I said

"Where are you going Breezy?" Dean asked

"She's going to study with Randy" Paige smirked making air quotes at study

"Ooh get some Brie" Naomi said

"It's not like that guys" I shook my head and walked outside

I looked around and spotted Randy by himself on a table. I walked up to him and sat across.

"Hi Randy"

"Oh hi, Brie. Good news I have a math quiz coming up next week Wednesday. If I pass and raise my grade I won't get kicked off the team"

I nodded "did you tell your coach?"

"Yeah he said I better get a B or better"

"I thought it was a C or better?"

"Yeah but he wants me to get a B" he rolled his eyes

"Well let's get started"

"Do you understand it now?"

"No"

I gave him an are you serious look and he laughed.

"I'm joking. I'm sort of getting it now. Hopefully, I understand it fully by next week" he said

"Me too Randy me too," I said closing my book

I began to pack my things because lunch was going to end soon.

"Thanks, Brie. You know you don't have to do this right?"

"Yeah but you're my friend and I don't want to see you fail"

He smiled "thanks" he rubbed the back of his neck nervously "um Brie?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to maybe go to the party with me on Friday? I mean that is if you're going" he blurted out

"I'm sort of forced to go but sure Randy I'd love to go with you"

"Great" he smiled

"Oh wait but I'm gonna be sleeping over at Naomi's," I said remembering

"It's fine I could pick you guys up if you'd like?"

"Uh sure let me check with them"

"Ok. Here give me your phone" he held out his hand

I hesitated but then gave it to him. He typed something in and gave it back to me.

"Text me," He said

"Really?" I laughed

"You had to put that as your contact?" I laughed looking at the name
