T H I R T Y - S I X

ONE WEEK LATER | after practice

"Do you know the answer to number ten Paige?" I yawned

"Uhh, no" she sighed

"How about you Naomi?" I asked

"Nada" she leaned back in her chair closing her eyes

"I wanna cry" Paige says suddenly

"Why?" I laugh looking at her through the rear view mirror

"Just cause" she shrugs "School sucks, might fuck around send feet up pics for money" she says making us laugh

My phone rings and I see my sister calling

"Hello" I sigh letting out a small chuckle

"Brianna !!" She squealed

"What? What's wrong?"

"Who's that?" Naomi asked

"Nikki" I say "are you ok? Is mom ok?" I asked concerned

"Brieeee !! Moms friend is staying with us tonight" she tells me

"You're sounding a little too excited about that" I say confused

"Because !! Mom's friend is Roman's mom !!" She squeals

What the hell did she just say?

I pause for a moment

"Hello ?? Brie ??"

"Sorry"

"I'm so excited, Dean is staying with us too !!"

Great.

"I have to go, see you at home. Love youuu !!"

The call ended. I was confused.

What the actual hell.

"Everything ok Brie? Your face is a little pale" Naomi asked offering me some water

"No, I'm fine Nams" I shake my head "Thank you, could you please take me home. My mom needs help with something."

She nods and takes the car out of park.

"You ok pumpkin?" Paige asked

"Yeah" I nod

I make my way up the driveway slowly. This entire thing makes no sense at all. Everything is all over the place. If I see him, I might pass out.

I take out my key and open the front door and see that the entire downstairs area was lit.

"Mom?" I call out

"Kitchen!" She yells back

I put my shoes away and walk down the hallway. I make my way into the kitchen and see my mom talking to another woman.

"Hey, honey, this is my good friend Patricia" my mom gestures to the woman who stood across from me. 

So this is Roman's mom. She seems sweet. Unlike her son. Well, thank God he's not here.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Brie." I say greeting her with a hug

"I'm Patricia but everyone calls me Pat." She chuckles "Your mom has told me so much about you and your sister"

"I hope it's all good things" I chuckle and she nods

"She's going to be staying with us for a little while, her and her boys." My mother says

"Oh, ok. If you guys need anything feel free to ask me or my sister." I smile at her

"Thank you" she says giving me a warm smile

"Her boys go to the same school as you and Nikki sweetheart" my mother says

"Really? What are their names? I might know them"

"Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns," She answered "You know them Brie?" my mother asked looking at me

"Yeah, I do, Nikki and I are actually good friends with them. We hangout all the time." I say trying to stay calm

"Oh good, I'm glad you folks are friends." My mom smiled

"I didn't know Ambrose was your son" I say even though I know he's not

"Technically he's not but I consider him to be mine. Roman is and he's been friends with Dean for the longest. They consider each other to be brother.  Those two boys together are something else."  She chuckles

"That's amazing!" I say happily and she smiles at me

"Well I should probably get going, Roman is probably complaining to his cousins about why I'm taking forever to pick him up." She sighs walking out the kitchen "See you in a bit, Oh! Kathy do you need anything from the store?" She says turning around to my mom

"No, I got dinner already set" my mom waved her off

"Alrighty, Brie, do you or your sister need anything?" She asks me

"Oh no I'm fine!" I smile at her

"I'll be back! See you in a bit!" She said again before stepping out the door

"How long are they going to stay with us mom?" I ask

"I don't know, she told me they're dealing with some issues with her ex husband at the moment. She's stressed and she needs my help. I said it was ok for her to stay as long as she needs"

I nod my head

"Oh! Before you go up to shower sweetie can you please go wake up your sister. She came home and went straight to bed. I don't need her complaining about only getting two hours of sleep tomorrow morning."

I nod my head again before taking my things with me upstairs.

I couldn't get my mind off Roman. He's going to be staying at my house for god knows how long. I already try to avoid him at school and now he's going to live with me. Oh boy. It's not that I'm uncomfortable I'm just, I don't want to look at him. I can't. Not after everything that has been going on.

Heyyyy, so shitty chapter I know but I'm trying my best to make this whole thing interesting. Right now, updates are gonna come when they want to. I've just been all over the place so sitting down and getting work done is hard. Next couple chapters are planned out but it's just hard to type them out.
