Life as We Know It

Chapter 6

  "Lulu, Lulu." I heard softly in my ear as I turned to see Jenna standing over me. I sat up and looked at the clock across the room. School was out and Jenna was here.

   "What Jenna?" I asked before fully waking up.

    "I like him." That was all she said.

    "But why?" I asked standing up next to her.

    "OK, here's the whole story." She started. "I was walking down the hall when someone tripped me, all my books fell and so did I. He was the only one who came over to help. He piled my books up and helped me up. Our eyes met and we hung out all day. He walked me to my classes and we sat together at lunch. We had some laughs and we enjoy each other's company. He asked me out."

    "Well are you happy with him?" I asked almost giving into the relationship.

    "I am Lulu, I really am. After watching you and Justin all this time, I finally have someone to do all that stuff with." She said smiling. "Please, Lulu. Don't be mad."

   "I'm not, your my best friend and if your happy, then I am too." I gave my permission to her.

  She hugged me so fast my heart stopped. "Thank you Lu." I hugged her back. "We should double date!"

   "OK, I will call Justin later." I smiled and released her grip from me. "Well?"

   "Well what?"

   "Aren't you going to see Jesse?" I asked her pointing upstairs.

   She smiled a great big smile and pulled me upstairs to his room. We ran in and Jesse shot up from his bed where he had his drawing notenook out. "Lulu, Jenna, What's up?"

   "She is OK with us dating." Jenna said walking over and getting his hand into hers. They stood there and held each other's hands.

   "Really? Thanks Sis." He smiled at me and then at Jenna.

   "No problem, I am going to go call Justin. You two can stay here."

   I left and went into my room. I retrieved my phone from the ground and dialed Justin's number.

   "Hey Lu." He said.

   "Hey Justin. Jenna is dating Jesse and she wants to double date with us Friday night, so what do you say?" I spoke fast.

   "Jenna and Jesse? Dating?"

   "Yep, dating." I said.

   "Sure, sounds fun. I have to go but I will call you later." He said.

   "OK, bye."

   "Bye." 

  I clicked my phone off. So Where are we going to go for our double date? Hopefully somewhere dark where no one will see me with Jesse. I love Jenna but I hope her brain kicks in and alerts her that she is stupid for dating him.

   "What did he say?" Jenna blurts walking in arm in arm with Jesse.

   "He sadi yes." I answered. "Where are we going, the movies?"

   "We thought maybe get some dinner, then we can go to the movies." Jesse answered the question ment for Jenna.

   "OK, well that is cool." I lied. People could see us in the restraunt. "What restraunt?" I asked.

   "Umm.... how about Red Lobster?" Jesse asked.

     "Or maybe a buffet?" Jenna suggested. "Maybe a chinese buffet, or seafood?"
