My groggy eyes open as I see a head on my stomach. Janet was laying on me. When I was about to push her off of me, I saw the rest of the kids all around me and her. They were toppled all over. I nudged Jenna who layed by my head.
"What?" She asked trying to catch what is going on.
"Look around you." I said pointing all around the room at the drooling people.
"Oh wow, I need to get up." She started to get up and then I got up.
We walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast but saw crumbs and puddles all over. Chips, donuts, chocolate bars, and popcorn was crushed on the floor all along the kitchen floor. Juice and soda puddles were forming and icecream was melted on the kitchen table. It was a mess!
I grabbed the dust pan and rags. I handed her a rag. "Clean this room, fast."
I started sweeping up the floor that was covered with crumbs. She started scrubbing the dried puddles up.
"Lulu, these are really sticky." Jenna said.
"Jenna, clear the counters of bags and containers. Throw them away, then clean the counter with the rag."I said.
I continued to sweep up the crumbs. I finished and I threw the crumbs in the garbage can. I grabbed the other rag and I washed the kitchen table. Then I grabbed a bottle of spray on cleaning supply and spritzed it across the sticky stains.
When I scrubbed the stains they came off easily. I tossed the rags in the laundry basket and I sat the flower vase back in the middle of the counter.
"Do you want some eggs?" I asked Jenna.
"Sure, Lu." She answered sitting at the counter stools.
I turned and started cracking the eggs when David walked in. His blonde hair messy and his shirt wrinkled. "Morning."
"Hi." I said turning to look at him. "Want some eggs?"
"Sure, why not?" He sat next to Jenna. "Jesse really likes you."
"He does?" She smiled and blushed. "I like him a lot too."
I tended to the eggs but still listened to all this.
"Well, you guys are a perfect couple." He said. "And you are pretty."
"Thanks." She giggled.
"OK, here you go." I sat a plate in front of both of them and one in front of myself.
"Thanks Lu." Jenna said taking a piece.
"Yeah thanks, they are good." David said nicely.
"Yeah hurry up and eat them. I don't want them to see." I said shoving some in my mouth.
"OK," Jenna laughed.
We sat and ate at the table and joked around about Jenna and Jesse. We heard someone get up so we ran and tossed our plates in the sink and ran over to the wall behind the table. Christina walked in and opened the fridge sending a cool breeze into the kitchen.
She pulled out the milk and the waffle mix. She stirred up a huge batch of it and made at least fifty waffles. She sat them on the table and started to eat one, then another when everyone started piling in. They sat and ate the waffles drenched in syrup and topped with assorted fruit.
I pushed David and Jenna out into the living room which was cleared of kids but trashed with bags and bottles. Pillows and blankets scattered the carpet and pools of drool once and a while were found.
