Life as We Know It

Chapter 7

   His arms were strong as they wrapped their way around my thin body. I hugged him back and I whispered in his ear softly. "Good night."

   Jenna and Jesse were having the same moment just not as intense. They hugged quickly and then just smiled and waved. I walked over to Jenna and pulled her away. "Jenna, what is up? You guys like each other, hug longer and talk more." I pushed her back over to him and I walked over to Justin.

   "Bye." Justin said as he kissed my cheek and left.

  I waved and watched Jenna and Jesse. "Bye Jesse." Jenna softly said and walked out.

  I waved to her as I closed the door behind her. "Jesse, did you have fun?" I asked as he started upstairs.

   "Yeah, she is pretty and fun." He smiled.

   "She really likes you." I blurted.

  "I like her."

   He walked upstairs and I followed walking into my room.

   I plopped on my bed and got changed into my pajamas. Monkey shorts and a purple tank top.

  Tomorrow was Saturday, so everyone would be here. Not at work or school, and I wouldn't be alone.

   "Mom, can Jenna sleepover tonight?" I asked my mom that morning as everyone sat at the large kitchen table.

   "Sure, in fact everyone can have friend over. One each." She took a bite of her muffin and smiled.

   "Thanks." Everyone echoed.

   I finished my omelet and walked upstairs. I sat at my desk where my laptop sat open. I typed in my username to my IM and then my password. Jenna was on and I clicked her name.

  Me: Hey, wanna sleepover tonight? All of my siblings get to have one person over.

  Jenna: Sure :)

 Me: Cool come over later around 4 so we can talk before we have kids running around our feet.

 Jenna: OK, I better get ready then. Bye

 Me: Bye Jen,

  I logged off after her name went dark. I didn't get changed because I was comfortable in my pajamas. I layed on my bed and absorbed the sunlight that beamed through the window. It was hard to look directly out of the window with the sun blaring in.

   I closed the blinds and got dressed. Into a pair of jeans with holes. and a tee shirt for the band Maroon 5. I turned on the radio and danced to Nikki Minaj. I jumped around until my mother came in.

  "Mom.... hey." I turned the music  down and walked over to her.

   "Lulu, I have to work until late,so you and Jenna will be in charge, along with Christina and her friend. OK, I have to go. Love you Hun." She kissed the top of my head and I smiled as she left the room.

   I cranked the music back up and started to dance again. I slipped on a rug and fell to the ground. Oww! I hurt my leg, but it wasn't severe. Only a few seconds of pain and then it was fine.

   Four came quickly because Jenna was soon at my front door with a few bags. "What is all that?" I ask letting her in before closing the door.

   "Snacks, drinks, that's all." She smiled and started to name what she pulled out. "Popcorn, potato chips, Kool Aid, pretzels, cheese puffs, mini donuts, two packs of chocolate bars, M&Ms, and ice cream."
