"You believe in God?"

"What?" Rafaela raised her head from the book she has been reading for hours. Her eyes searched for the source of the voice. She was sitting in the central park of the city. The park was very crownded at weekend but on week days, no one cared to go there. That made it a perfect place to reading book since it was totally quiet.

"You're reading the Bible". Alucard stated.

Rafaela blinked, trying to comprehend what was happening, as if her mind was wandering off somewhere. "Ah...yeah...why not?". She replied with a smile. "Everybody believe in him".

Alucard shrugged, then took a seat next to Rafaela, his head leaned backward. "Maybe". He threw his eyes to the flower garden before him. Yellow chrysanthemum.

"Do you believe in God, Alu?". Rafaela turned to the new-comer. He looked so handsome today, as always.

"Huh?". Alucard diverted his gaze to her.

"Do you?".

"Does it matter?"Alucard frowned, didn't understand why she took so much interest in the topic.

"Call it my curiosity". Rafaela insisted. She closed the Bible, eyed him with anticipation.

"No...".He shook his head. "Not at all".

"May I ask why?". She placed her elbow on her thigh and used it to support her head.

"He doesn't even exist".

"How do you know?". Rafaela inquired.

"Have you ever seen him?". He asked her back.

"Alu". Rafaela gently explained . "We can't see him doesn't mean that he doesn't exist".

"You got a point." He shrugged, seemed to be approved with her but Rafaela can tell he isn't convinced by her words.

"I was raised by a Christian family. I've been to the church every Sunday even before I learned how to walk. Everyone I met for as long as I can remember was a Christian. We're his servants and you are not an exception, Alu...". Rafaela tried to explain to him as if he was nothing more than a 6 year-old kid.

"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness" (*). He said, after being quiet for a while.

"And what is that supposed to mean?". She eyed him suspiciously.

"It means exactly what it sounds like". He shrugged.

Rafaela kept quiet. What is he up to?. She thought she could read his mind but apparently, she just can't.

"So you think I'm a fool then". She asked, a little bit sarcastic.

"No, you are not fool. Only naïve". He smirked.

Okay then. Rafaela signed. At least, naïve isn't a sin.

Rafaela didn't want to drag him into an argument. Today was such a beautiful day and they were both in a good mood. She didn't want to ruin this moment. Recently, Alucard and she didn't meet each other quite often. He was busy with his family business and she was occupied with her school projects. They had so little time to meet let along to fight.

"So what do you usually do in your freetime, Alu?". Rafaela asked cheerfully, tried to lighten up the heavy atmosphere that started to creep between them.

"Uhm, I sometimes hang out with my friends, play sports, or drawing."

Rafaela's eyes wided in disbelief. "You can draw?".
