Chapter 12: Audition

I woke up to Akira standing over me. I was still in the form room but laying down on the table, I knew that Eric and Flynn wouldn't take me to the infirmary to avoid getting caught but it would've been nice for them to do it. I prop my self up on my elbows "How long was I out?" I asked "Around 10 to 20 minuets," Akira sighed. Eric grabbed a chair and sat next to me "I cant believe that I just did that I.. I am truly sorry." He sighed holding his head in his hands but Flynn was still in his chair hugging his knees "Eric I, why did you care so much?" I asked fighting back the tears remembering how scary it was "Heather said that you went in there to meet another guy someone older and not in school. We were worried and Flynn is having a mental breakdown about Heather," I peered over to Flynn he was shaking. I walked up to him "Flynn?" he pulled me in bursting into tears "I IM SO SORRY FOR EVERYTHING IVE DONE IVE BEEN SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON!" He screamed scooping me up in a hug and gripped hard. "FLYNN WHAT THE HELL WE JUST GOT BACK TOGETHER!" Screamed heather stomping up to us. "Heather, you tricked us. Go away!" he snapped causing heather to take a few steps back. The bell rung and Heather left the room. Her tail between her legs.

Heather didn't go to the next lesson or the one after that neither did Courtney or Allison. Everyone said that she went to Starbucks outside of town since that was her mind palace, it didn't really bother me that she was gone Flynn was calmer and Eric stopped saying sorry. Science was so boring even if I was sat near my friends I didn't like it at all, all it is, is learn this study oh now its a test. sorry for my ranting. After school i head down to the Drama department, Mrs. Krooke greeted me at the door saying that she'll think that I'll get the role since I hardly had any competition, it made me smile a bit until I saw the audition room. Tons of girls gossiping and giggling about how Flynn and Akira were in the play, they screamed and fangirled how they would be able to kiss the hot guys of Redguard just for a show. "Monika?!" said a very confused Akira "you are auditioning?" he choked and started to sweat. I nodded and he pulled me aside "I want to tell you that if I get the part. Would it mean anything to you?" He stared at me "well with all the attention I'm getting I doubt people would let you near me if it did," i chuckled nervously while he turned away and blushed. 

I entered the room where the auditions were held. "Name and what will you perform today?" my face burned up. The panel were very professional with Mrs. Krooke at the end smiling "I'm Monika spelt with a K and I'll perform the famous balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet," I managed to spurt out the words "Off you go!" she said:

Romeo, doff thy name And for that name which is no part of thee take all myself," I gave my all and the panellist were tearing up "and your song?" it took me by surprise. I was freezing up. Akira was outside mimicking a piano. "Your reality and I've got a second song if you think the song is to childish," they nodded and i put on the instrumental.

I hit the last note up and I got a standing ovation "bravo! Can you stay here for the male auditions for the lead we need a young mind but you can't decide which one just a little peek," she said and I nodded. I opened the wood door to see everyone jaw dropped with Flynn and Akira running for a hug. "You were so good!" they screamed. Most of the girls left there confidence low but a few remained for the secondary roles. They still giggled and gossiped about Akira and Flynn. Soon after the male auditions started, the two leads were last with Flynn and Akira auditioning for both roles. I couldn't decide which guy was better! 

When we left the Drama department Heather was waiting for Flynn despite there fighting. "Flynn! You're walking with me NOW?" she said through pursed lips giving me the Evil eye. Akira head back to the dorm waving bye. I stumbled behind heather and Flynn as they argued but it didn't matter Eric kept me entertained by texting me. 

When I got home mum was back I asked where she went and she sighed "Monika, I need to go on a business trip for 2 weeks. You haft to stay in the dorms I got you the best one!" I couldn't decide if she was serious or not "when are you going?" i asked grimacing inside "Next week." she sighed pulling me in "I love you Monika." I sighed "Love you to mum."
