Chapter 13:The highest dorm

I had packed my suitcase, the door was locked. So I set off to school, I would've never thought of gone to school on a Saturday i was proven wrong. I reached the dorm and climbed all the stairs to the top. As I was climbing veronica stepped out of her room looing confused "Monika? What are you doing here?" She asked "Well I'm living here for a couple weeks!" Veronica squealed with excitement "What room do you have?" her face drooped looking at the piece of paper "What's wrong?" I asked "You have the haunted dorm!" 100 shivers was sent down my spine "Haunted? What? Why?" I was slightly concerned "Let me tell you the story on the way up,"

"Back when the school was just a castle a maid and the prince fell for each other. Your dorm was the maid's quarters and they built a passage that lead to the princes room. They met each other under the cover of darkness and soon enough the maid was pregnant. They gave birth to a beautiful child with long brown hair and lime green eyes. The prince became king but married another women. A princess of another kingdom and that made the maid angry but she kept quiet. The prince kept seeing the maid but the princess found out and murdered the prince and she fled. The maid was so depressed and the child was alone. The maid eventually jumped out of the highest dorm aka your dorm and she haunts it. The child left to another kingdom I think somewhere in brighton and changed her last name to porter. She thought she was safe until a squire came and stole her for his wife, she got married back in her birth place and ruled many years and had 3 children. 2 died while one married in Brighton and the it says that one day a Porter will return and claim the rightful throne as the queen of redguard." 

She finished her story just as we reached my dorm "Veronica?" I gripped her arm kinda scared of the door "My last name is porter and I grew up in Brighton!" she turned around with a grin and opened the door. I hesitated but she pushed me in "bye Bezzie!" She slammed the door and ran. I lied on the bed it was so comfortable compared to mine, a tall mirror was in the corner something about it was suspicious. I pulled out the mirror revealing a small wooden door I turn the golden handle, No surprise, it's locked. I hear a voice it says look at the mirror. I turn around but no one was there after that I turn to the mirror and at the bottom there is a small chest, unlocked. I pull it open revealing a small golden key and a note:

My dearest prince I have recently been thinking about you. Me and Evelyne saw your wedding and I must say I am jealous of marigold . I am thinking of  making the old passageway into Evelyne's nursery  it may be a little small but I think we'll manage. I do miss you but you have made your choice my love our late night meetings will stay as a secret. Oh and I love you too darling I hope your marriage is a successful relationship.

I looked at the signature Monica well me and my great great grandmother had the same name. I grab the key and unlock the tiny door using my phone as a torch. It's small and dark but still big enough for me to fit in. On the left it had 3 pictures of a mother father and daughter, the father and mother had dark brown hair and eyes but the small child had hazel hair and bright green eyes. I continued searching around I found more old letters and pictures until I found another door. I was about to leave and then a gold sparkle hit my eye I used the same key and slowly opened the door. It was another dorm. It had black walls with red painted onto it in sharp swirls, I stood up fully scanning the room. The bed was the last place I looked at and to my surprise someone was sleeping there, I took a few steps forward to take a closer look at the person who was sleeping in the bed and it was Akira. I let out a short gasp but the alarm went off, I instantly ran back into the door and closed it shut with a loud bang. I held my breath creeping back to my end of the room until I heard a creek behind me "Donata? Anatahadare?!" I turned around to see a shirtless Akira staring into the passage (why are all these guys shirtless?) "Sore wa Monika," I said sheepishly "Nani? Monika what are you doing here?" He asked pulling on a shirt, I smiled and swiftly crawled back to my room.

 Quickly, I locked the door shut and put the key and letters back in the chest. A soft knocking was at the door and a muffled voice joined it "Monika, please?" I clicked it open and let Akira in "Thanks! Now explain to me what just happened?" I was about to start until I remembered something "Wait aren't you supposed to be at your aunts hiding Mona?" It was very suspicious "Well, I ran away and Mona is still asleep," He confessed and I sighed "Well..." I told the story and showed him the letters "Akira can I look at something in your room?" He looked confused but agreed and we head back through the little passage. Akira was blushing at the thought of having a girl in his room but I didn't really take notice. I opened the bottom chest only to reveal more letters and another key, "Anything useful?" Akira spoke in a deep voice "Letters and another key wait what's this?" a lime green jewel hung from a thin gold chain and a small crown that was made out of cheap supplies like metal and a small diamond placed on the top with a small rolled up note at the back, it said

"what's this key for?" asked Akira touching the key examining every point, I shrugged and grabbed it from him touching his soft skin. He blushed and turned away and I looked for clues, I was busy looking around but we heard soft footsteps from behind the door "Get back in there and don't come back out, See ya!" Akira ushered me to the door and I leapt back in. I reached my room and placed all the keys and letters back into the chest. Veronica was waiting outside my door smiling "Seeing someone Monika?" I stuttered and she chuckled "I'll keep your secret," She whispered sticking her tongue out and the stink eye I punched her and we head down for breakfast.
