A helicopter had flown over the hideout where Steve had dragged Bucky's unconscious body from the water, where Bucky had tried to kill Steve. "Hey, guys!" You heard Sam yell out. Your and Steve's attention was pulled away from looking out from the cracks. You and Steve both run over to the entrance of the room of which Bucky was being held. Steve had grabbed your arm before you had the chance to run into the room.
"Wait right here. I don't want to overwhelm him we don't know how bad his condition is. If it seems his head is in the right place, I'll let you in." Steve said. All you wanted to do was have your Bucky back. You nodded in agreement, reluctantly, and watched as Steve walked in.
"Steve." You heard Bucky breathe out. His voice. You finally heard his voice. "Which Bucky am I talking too?" Steve asked. "Your moms name was Sarah. You used to wear newspapers in your shoes you." Bucky answered laughing. His laugh was one of the things you missed the most along with that smile. "Can't read that in the museum." Steve spoke. "Just like that was supposed to be cool." Sam said. "Yeah I think he's good. You can come in now." Steve said the last part out loud so you could hear it. You had closed your eyes before you took a deep breath and walked into the room.

"Bucky." You breathed out. "Y/N." He looked up. You had kneeled down and wrapped your arms around his waist while he wrapped his only arm, that wasn't pressed down by a machine, around your waist. You couldn't help but let a couple of tears fall from your eyes. You both pulled back and Bucky just look at you a smiled. "Aw babe don't go crying over me." He used his good thumb to wipe away your tears. "Hey I've been away from you for to damn long." You said.
He just smiled and pit his hand behind your neck and pulled you to him. His lips kissing yours. Oh much you missed this. A cough had interrupted your little reunion. You both pulled away and look over at Sam who just kinda stood there awkwardly and Steve just had a smile. He was just glad to see his best friends finally back together again.
