{42} CAPTAIN AMERICA

It's amazing how 5 years can change a persons life. Nikhad and Steve have a 5 year old daughter, Natasha, and a 3 year old son, James. Clint promised to name a girl after Nat but it turned into a Nathaniel. But Nikhad and Steve were happy to oblige to naming their first child after their, well more so Nikhad's best friend. A best friend name for a best friend name, she made Steve very happy when the second child was boy and named James.

Now that their family had begun, Nikhad and Steve both thought it was best if they keep their other life hidden away. They wanted the safety of their children to be ensured. Just the thought of their children in danger made their skin crawl.

"Nat, Furry informed Steve and I about another HYDRA base so we're taking it out tonight." Nikhad told Natasha. "So I got babysitting duty tonight?" Nat asked. "Yep." Nikhad replied. "We shouldn't be long. It's a small base." Steve said walking up to them. Nikhad looked at Nat and she looked as though she was contemplating something.

"You know, I've been thinking about the kids and I think you should tell them." Nikhad and Steve both looked at each other with a confused face. "Hear me out, you guys can move here at Avengers headquarters instead of that run down apartment where any one could break in, they will be safer here. I hate lying and telling them that "mommy and daddy are just working late" when you never know what could happen out there." Nat did have a valid point.

"Operation Story Time." Nikhad sighed. Nat smiled and nodded. "You sure about this?" Steve asked Nikhad. "I don't want to keep living a lie to our kids, not anymore. What do you think about this?" "Neither do I."

Nikhad and Steve walked into their apartment with Natasha right behind them. "Mommy! Daddy!" Little Nat came running into the living room with baby James behind her. "Hey kids no running!" Clint yelled from behind them. "Don't worry Clint, Natasha is here to relieve you." Steve said. "Tag me in." Natasha held out her hand and Clint slapped it tagging her in to watch the kids while Nikhad and Steve infiltrate the HYDRA base. Nikhad and Steve kissed they're children goodbye and went off to "work late".

"Auntie Nat why do mommy and daddy always leave?" Natasha asked next to James. "Operation Story Time." She muttered to herself. "Ok how about I tell you both a story." She told them. Their eyes lit up and sat down on the floor in-front of her.

"You know Captain America and Dark Lady right?" The kids nodded excitedly. "Well Captain America and Dark Lady met 7 years ago for the first time. And just like a fairy tale they fell in love at first sight. They would go on missions together, fight the bad guys, and save the world. They got married, but then the Dark Lady had a little girl, then a little boy. Captain America and Dark Lady both named them after their superhero best friends. They had a family together, a family that needed to be protected. They cared about their little girl and boy than more than anything in the world. You want to know the best part?" The children leaned in closer. "They're your mom and dad. And all your aunts and uncles are superhero's too."

The happiest smile grew upon on their faces upon the realization. "Mommy and Daddy are superheroes!" Natasha exclaim. "Momma and Dadda are hero's!" James barely spoke.

"Doesn't that make Daddy really old?"

"Mommy is invisible?"

"Let's save the questions for when mom and dad come home." Nat said to the children on Nikhad and Steve.
