Later that night, after all the drama, Eve was at her apartment, idly lying across the sofa and watching tv. Out of pure curiosity she switched to the news channel, fully aware of what the main story would be.

"Yet another commotion took place today as the civil rights protest group known as 'Revolution Radio', named after the popular Green Day song, caused more disruption at a debate between the main two candidates running to be mayor", the anchorwoman read,

"A flag stating 'legalise the truth' was displayed as the candidates exited the city hall. We reached out to both Jude Normile and Thomas Walker for a comment, both of which declined. The rebel group has been causing disruptions for a while now.."

Her voice droned on and on. Eve was distracted by her apartment door opening and her boyfriend finally returning home.

"You just love to be the centre of attention, don't you?" He said almost teasingly from behind the sofa, glancing to the tv before leaning down and placing a quick kiss on her forehead.

"Oh shush Walker, I've been the centre of your attention for the past 9 years" she sassily replied.

There had been many controversies for Eve and Tom, but if this ever got found out it'd be the biggest of them all.

They'd been in a relationship for the past 9, going on 10, years. Shit would seriously hit the fan if they ever got found out. Tabloids described them as 'enemies', since Tom would always be the one who tried to get to Eve whenever she'd crash an event, while Jude would do nothing.

That's why Eve hid her identity whenever she was with 'Revolution Radio', and why Tom would briefly speak about his girlfriend whenever he'd get asked. Every move they made, they had to be careful. Not even Zoe knew that the 'guy' Eve was dating was Tom.

"I'm not particularly complaining, yanno. you keep acting out, the news keeps reporting on it, views go up and votes go up. I should be thanking you" Tom said in reply to Eve's previous comment. This caused a smile to break out across her face as she looked at him. He winked at her, probably a reference to her action from earlier that day. "Ordering pizza would be a good way to thank me" she said with a smirk.

That's how it went for the two of them. During the day, most of the time, Tom would be working on his campaign and Eve would be working on ways to somehow crash it. Then they'd get home and just be like any other couple, loving and caring. Yes, they argued from time to time, but it'd never be about their jobs. To the world they were enemies, but to each other they were just two people in love.

Sometimes it'd hurt them, not being able to be public about their relationship. Not being able to kiss each other in coffee shops or hold hands walking down the street. They were occasionally spotted together, when Eve was just being herself. A quick google search proved this since paparazzi and the press seemed to stalk Tom a lot. But other than that, they couldn't do much at all. Some nights Tom would come home late to find Eve crying in their bed. Some nights Eve would come home late to see Tom trying his hardest not to cry at the coffee table.

It was hard on them both, but they somehow always managed to get by. They both loved each other, and that's all that truly mattered to them.
