When that dreaded dinner date arrived, everyone sat in suspense. The clock was ticking by ever so slowly, however, no one seemed as stressed as Viktor.

"I look like..a bus boy.."

"Indeed you do." Ciel confirmed from his seat. Sebastian had been instructed to make Viktor seem like a servant f some sort to Kyran for when their guests would eventually arrive. He was told that it had to be absolutely convincing and, as always, he delivered.

With his hair combed back, secured by a lot of hair gel, and his face powdered Viktor looked like a proper butler in training. Of course he had to borrow a suit from one of the butler's many closets to complete the look.  His picked at his hair in one of the mirrors. "I do not much care for this hairstyle." Sebastian arched a brow, "Oh?"

"I now fear that I have a large forehead." The demon butler smacked Viktors hand away from his finely styled hair rather harshly. "Do not blame the stylist, blame your large forehead."

Elizabeth shook her head, "Your father has that same fear, darling. You get every ounce of your forehead from him." Ciel shot Elizabeth a look. "You're the one whom keeps bangs, what exactly are you hiding under there?"  Ciel reached out as if to flip her bangs up but she pulled away. "Nothing you haven't seen before. Keep your cold fingers over there." Ciel grinned as he continued to tease his wife.

...

Celine sat on the edge of the bed in her upstairs room. It was as Kyran has said, he had completely revoked any hold or control over their surroundings. Celine could literally hear the instinctive mental functioning of the birds outside her window. Her powers had never been this enhanced before. If enhanced was the correct word, she had just never experienced such unfiltered wavelengths.

The emotion better known as fear crept into her subconscious. What did she have to be afraid of? Nothing really. However, she didn't feel as though it was a reaction so much as it was infliction. It was very faint, but she could hear someone breathing on the other side of her bedroom door. Now that Kyran's hold over the Estate was temporarily down, it was no surprise he hadn't noticed that the demons, everyone save for Elizabeth and Edward, weren't the only ones using their abilities freely.

...

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap

A long, thick nail tapped the wooden door eerily from the other side. Celine inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with what smelled like cold mints of some kind. Where would that scent come from? Leighton. He always smelled like fresh and cold mints.  "Are you going to open the door or just stand there scratching it?" She asked, somewhat annoyed. He must be feeling frisky since Kyran has allowed everyone to freely use their powers.

The bedroom door slowly creaked open and the very first thing she could see, apart from the dark hallway, was blood red eyes. Now, Leighton had amber eyes but they weren't ever that red from what she could recall.  "Leighton? Are you..alright?" He gently pushed the door open and walked in with an odd look on his face, however, he didn't speak. Celine stood backed away from him. "What's wrong with you?" He only advanced toward her with an extended arm. "Leighton stop.." She took another step back, until her back touched the wall. "I said stop!" The tips of his fingers were black and when he smiled his teeth were jagged and coated with saliva.

"Hey!" Celine looked toward the doorway at the familiar voice. Leighton, the one she remembered minus the jagged teeth and red eyes, was standing in the hall with his fists clenched by his sides. "Leighton? But then who is?" She looked back over and he was gone.

"You..you saw that too, right?" She asked as her voice began to quiver. "Yeah, I saw him too." He stepped in the room quietly, "Celine?"

"What was that? Why was it here?" Her hands were shaking and for the first time since they were children, she seemed human. With the human reaction of fear. Her body was shaking and she seemed terrified. He wasn't used to seeing her like that. "That's the demon going around impersonating me, the same one that took to your brothers fiance.. are you alright?" He hesitantly stepped toward her. "Celine, you're shaking.."

"That was absolutely...mortifying.." She swallowed hard as she became light headed. Her balance wavered and caused Leighton to hurl himself forward and wrap his arms around her before her knees could completely buckle.  "Easy..you'll hurt yourself." He picked her up and placed her on the bed.

He wiped some tears from her beautifully pale cheeks. He bit his lip as he examined her face, from her long eyelashes to her beautiful lips. He ran a thumb over her bottom lip just to feel the softness against the pad of his finger.

"Are you going to kiss her?" He stiffened and turned toward the doorway only to be locked into a heated staring contest with Kyran. His arms were crossed over his chest as he leaned against the doorway.  "You should keep your filthy fingers off of her, little vampire boy."

"If I hadn't been here-"

"If you hadn't been here, what? I've got your uglier counterpart bound to a chair downstairs." Leighton's brows furrowed, "No you don't he disappeared, how could you.."

"I told you, nothing comes into this Estate without my knowledge." He snatched him that quickly? It looked as if he had disappeared right in front of them, but it was really Kyran snatching him up? "How do you..?"

Kyran smirked as if he knew what he was asking already, "I have a few hundred years on you, hopefully you'll live long enough to learn a few things of your own." Well that was frightening. Leighton sighed and headed toward the door. "Seriously though, Leighton, don't ever put your hands that close to her mouth again. That is disgusting. Where have your hands been? Whatever you have touched today is on her mouth right now, you sick little bastard." He lectured him as they walked down the hall. "Shouldn't you be in there checking on Celine or something, Casanova?"

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I know everything that happens in the place, on this property, in a 100 mile radius? Must I paint you a picture or something? She's fine, she's already asleep."

"Then you knew he was here?"

"Yes."

"And you didn't go barging in to save her?"

"I evidently have you for that."

"Then you used her as bait?!"

"He would not have laid a finger on her."

"How do you know?! What if you had been too late?!" Kyran groaned and ceased walking, "Because Leighton, you have not one ounce of an idea of how long I have been doing this. I am a lot older than you, lad, and I am much better at this sort of thing."

"What sort of thing? You mean killing?" Kyran smiled and nodded sarcastically, "Yes, killing."

"You murdered most of your own family."

"You think my successful killings outshine or are worse than your own attempted murder?"

"By a country mile."

"And yet her father called me and not you. Hm." Leighton glared at Kyran with so much hatred. There was no way Celine could like this guy. "Now, shape up. The dinner show will begin shortly and I'll show you how to get the job done, yeah?" He watched Kyran as he walked ahead of him down the hall.  He had never hated someone so much in his life.
