I smirked as Tigerstar told me the new plan.

"Brokenshadow, you need to go to RiverClan territory and find Moonleaf," he meowed.

"Alright, what do you want me to do once I've found her?" I said back.

"Tell her the prophecy I told you. And make sure she understands it and everything it means and stands for." he meowed, glancing at the patrol coming back into camp. "You will go alone and make sure she is alone."

I dipped my head at him. "I understand, father. And after that?"

"That is up to you, Brokenshadow. I believe that it is almost time for you to become leader of ShadowClan."

"Of course it is," I meowed at him.

"Now go," he meowed.

"I will be back," I meowed, then slipped out of camp, heading for the RiverClan border, glancing behind me to make sure I wasn't being followed. I crept through the territory until I could here Leopardstar's voice.

"Tigerpaw! Honeypaw! Lionpaw!" I heard her call. So the scrawny kits have finally become apprentices, have they?

"That is not the end of the meeting! Stonefur has decided to retire to the elders' den. He has served this Clan well. The next deputy of RiverClan will be Moonleaf!" Well, that's surprising, because Moonleaf is so weak. But then again, Leopardstar has always been weak.

"She has courage and bravery!" She does? "She will also be mentoring Blossompaw for the rest of her apprenticeship." I knew that Moonleaf would take her apprentice out right away. I crept to the river and hid behind a bush, after rolling in the river water to hide my scent. I waited for her.

I purred as I heard Blossompaw padding away and Moonleaf staying behind. Moonleaf jumped and dropped the fish that she had in her jaws.

"That's OK, I never really liked fish anyways," I meowed. I stepped out of the shadows behind the bush.

"Why are you here, Brokenshadow?" Moonleaf meowed tiredly.

"You don't sound surprised anymore! Does that mean you should come back to ShadowClan?" I meowed smirking.

"Why are you here?" she repeated.

"Tigerstar has a prophecy for us, darling!" I said, making my voice sugar sweet.
