Sorry for how cringy the last chapter was. This chapter will result in you getting injured. If you don't like that or any sort of violence, I'll always tell ya when you might wanna stop. I'll have a quick recap for ya. Enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------------

After finishing your errands, you slowly stroll around, window shopping and people watching. The rain had died down, and the sweet smell of wet grass and stone filled the air. Eventually, you wander into the monster part of town, deciding to finally explore it. As you got further in, you notice less and less humans. You try not to let it bother you, instead you put on a confident smile and walk into a random bar, Grillby's. Everyone inside (all monsters) look up and fall silent as they notice you. Your smile falters a bit, but you wave despite the nervousness from having so many people look at you.

"Excuse me," you ask, looking around for a figure of authority, "I'm allowed to be here, right?"

For a moment, people look around at each other, unsure of it themselves, or else shocked by you just asking for permission, politely, and to monsters, no less. You hear someone clear their throat behind the bar. A skeleton in a blue jacket shifts to the side a bit, and you see a fire elemental monster. He's literally made out of fire. Which normally would be really freaking cool, but sadly, you have pyrophobia. You keep your expression pleasant.

"Of course you are, my dear. You're allowed in any of the businesses around here."

You thank him and make your way to the bar, taking a seat at the end. Someone coughs and everyone goes back to whatever they were doing before you arrived. You grab a menu and shift through if, looking at pricing. Even with the small amount of money you had, you could buy a decent meal. This restaurant just became your new favorite place. You order a milkshake and fries, despite you wanting more.

~time skip~ (also guns if you don't like those)

You had been in there for awhile, but after seeing that it was getting dark, you finished up your conversation with Grillby and headed out. Grillby, as it turns out, is a really interesting monster. Consequently, you manage to get over your phobia (for now) while listening to stories from his original bar down in the Underground, before the Emergence. His voice was comforting, soothing. You were vaguely aware of being watched, but you chose to ignore it until the feeling left. After all, you supposed you were something of a novelty.

Suddenly, you were jolted from your thoughts by yelling. You look around and see a crowd forming around the entrance of the little neighborhood off to the side of the town. You rush over to see five, maybe six men harassing two monsters. As you get closer, you recognize the skeleton from earlier, along with a fairly tall skeleton you haven't seen before. You're about to say something, but then the man in the front of the group pulls out a weapon.

Seeing the gun made your eyes widen. You have a brief flashback to the many times Father has pulled one on you before you snap back to reality. The tall, slender gunman points the gun directly in between the eyes (eye sockets?) of the skeleton you met at the bar. His eye sockets go black. He can't use magic to defend himself, not until he or his companion get hurt.

"Alright boys! I've got only one bullet! If I kill one of 'em, drinks are on me!" Wait, what!? He's going to celebrate killing!? You're not going to let this slide. With a sudden feeling of justice and courage, you rush in front of the monsters. The barrel of the gun is now pointing directly at you.

"What the-" he says, surprised. "Get out of the way, brat! I not going to spill any human's blood. Retarded as you are, your blood is cleaner than this dirty monsters."

"No! You're just killing because you can! And if anyone here is dirty, its gonna be you. I haven't even spoken to these two people, and I can already tell that you are barely a fraction of the people they are. Go back to wherever the heck you came from, which is probably your mommy's house, since you obviously can't take care of yourself!" You retort. The crowd surrounding you gets quieter. Someone laughs quietly. The gunman's face goes slightly red.

"That's it." he mumbles, almost to himself. You just stare at him defiantly as he pulls down the hammer. "Uh, wait. You only have one  bullet, right? According to you, my blood is cleaner, so logically, why should you waste it on me?" You're slowly realizing how stupid this was. He chuckles softly and says, "Yeah, you're right. Why would I waste it on you, when I can do this?" He quickly re-aims the gun, pointing upwards at the much taller, surprised looking, skeleton. You jump forward instantly and grab the barrel of the gun before he can shoot. You shove it downwards, determined to not let anyone get hurt. His shock wears off and he pulls the trigger. A sharp pain suddenly fills your right leg. You look down and see blood splattered on the pavement. Your blood.

You lose whatever balance you've managed to maintain and fall down. The gunman looks down at you. "That's what you get for getting in my way." He says. He looks up, mostly talking to the two monsters. "I'll get you next time." He says in a sinister tone before turning around and walking away. The crowd disperses quickly. You start to lose your vision as two figures, one blue and one red, crouch over you. They're saying something, but you're too far gone. You slowly slip into the abyss of unconsciousness.

Recap: Gun dude tries to shoot snas and paperus, you stop him and end up injured. Right leg, I think. The chapter ends with you going unconscious as the two skeletons try to talk to you. Sorry again for any errors. Bye!
