I know I said August12th, and I really should be doing stuff for school, but...

ok I don't have an excuse I just don't care

This is a bigger chapter than normal, I've been adding on this for a few days now.

btw I wrote part of this while watching endgame (I had to stop so I could cry).

It's been a few days since you left. Ever since, you had been packing up a few things, sweeping the cave clean of any trace of your existence, and mostly mentally preparing to run away. Again. Of course. Today was the day you'd travel towards the next town, and hopefully find a place there. You doubt you'll be able to find a place as great as this wonderful cave, but it had to be done. As much as you enjoy being around Sans and everyone, you couldn't help the burning anxiety in your gut.

Right now, however, you're lying around on the hard floor, trying not to think about how the bed they'd given you was much more comfortable (duh). You were waiting until night to leave. Might as well get some rest, right?

...

Your thoughts drift to Them.

They were unnaturally kind to you, taking you in and feeding you, healing you (or at least attempting to), even going as far as looking for you when you had your little panic attack. You owe them this. You owe it to them to leave.

They won't remember you.

They'll forget.

Everyone will.

Everyone does.

...

Maybe you'll go walk around in Ebott for a bit. It was late evening, so they probably weren't out and about. And you were getting restless. Maybe you could say goodbye to that baker dude. Or at least stand outside for a bit. You should probably just take your things now. No use in coming back, right?

...

It's a nice night. Warm. You were currently strolling about the monster part of town, after getting bored of the human part. You linger next to the window of Grillby's, glancing around inside. You weren't looking for him exactly, just... checking to see if he happened to be in there.

He wasn't.

You kept walking.

...

You had left Ebott days ago, and are currently wandering through the outskirts of the forest surrounding a town nearby, trying to scope out a less noticeable entrance. You feel the corners of your mouth tugging into a pout. This town was originally a village from a more medieval time, and it showed. The only visible entrance was the main one, and you really didn't want to walk all the way around the walls for a hole or something. Oh well. Entry was technically still discreet, seeing as basically no one was awake at this ungodly hour. The first rays of the sun were poking around the mountain in the distance, so if you had to guess, it's about 5 or 6 in the morning.

You sigh and accept your fate as you look both ways before casually strolling down the old road. Maybe you could get some more stale bread, and maybe some other foods. Your mouth waters at the thought of fries... mmmmm... potatoes... k-ketchup...

You stop walking, shocked by your revelation. That's what you smelled! Ketchup! That was the sweet scent you had picked up from... his jacket... Your smile falls,  small victory turned bittersweet.
