Chapter 5

"Thank you, oppa. You probably had a hard time carrying me on your back." Minah thanked Shownu.

She stretched her arms upward as she felt stiffed. That was still a long walk.

"Nah. You're not that heavy so it's okay. But I don't think I can carry you until inside the village. " Shownu scratched his head.

"Ah! You already helped me a lot so it's okay~ no worries! You have to go back to your team to help them with carrying the donation boxes. Thank you again!"

"Yah, Kihyun-ah. I'll go back to my team." Shownu tapped Kihyun's shoulder.

Kihyun just nodded a bit and watched Shownu's figure getting smaller as he walked back to the swimming team.

"Shall we go now there?" Minah said turning her back to Kihyun. But before she was able to take a full step, she tripped on a small stone on the ground.

Good thing is Kihyun's reflexes are fast so he caught her before she falls on the ground.

"Tss. Be careful." Kihyun hissed, silently helding her up.

"Are we still far from there? You know the place, right?" Minah asked him.

He just stared at her and held her hand.

"From here, the rest of the way is steep so I can't carry you on my back. Walking will be the safest way." He can't help but roll his eyes. He can't understand why he is so annoyed. And hell never he will tell Minah about it. That's not so cool.

Minah has been thinking if Kihyun is the one holding her hand for real, because the latter has not been speaking since Shownu left them. And his silence is killing her.

"Random Guy?"

Kihyun just looked at her.

"A-are you mad or something? Please talk." She said. Though she doubt if he is really mad because she can feel that he has been very gentle and patient in guiding her steps while their climbing up the mountain.

Kihyun guided her on the last step before they stopped.

"We're here." He said timidly.

Sister Margarette welcomed them with two mineral waters in hand and gave to each of them.

"It's must be very tough for you, Minah. You did good, dear. Thank you for your sacrifice." The nun smiled sweetly at Minah and tapped her shoulders. As if she can see, Minah smiled back looking straight in an empty space.

"And as for you, thank you for being a gentleman to our Minah, brother." Again the nun smiled, this time, to Kihyun.

He just uncomfortably smiled back.

Kihyun is hesitatingly staring at the camera as if he's trying to solve the hardest algebra equation in his Math class. He doesn't know what to feel and react and just stared on Shownu's back.

He gave the camera a tight grip and reached out to the camera lense inside the bag. While attaching it to the camera's body he remembered what happened just several minutes ago.

*Flashback*

Shownu approached him and handled him a familiar kind of bag.

"Is this what I'm going to use?" Kihyun asked receiving the bag and just hang the strap of it on his right shoulder.

"You're not going to check it?" Shownu asked.

"It's okay. I'll just set it up later when I'm about to use it."
