Later that evening, Finn decided to head home. I sat watching Friends alone. It was ironic, I know. Then I got an out-nowhere call from Gaten. I answered the call, "Hello?". I waited for a few seconds before getting a frantic response. "Sadie! Finn totally likes you! He broke up with Millie and now he's talking about you!" the boy whisper-yelled into the photo. I chuckled slightly. I hadn't even been friends with Finn for more than two days, how could he have possibly liked me? "Gaten, we're not even friends" I said softly, it was a lie of course, Finn and I were sort of friends. "No! All the teasing! It just adds up! It like in primary school when Caleb used to chase you and make fun of you!" Gaten claimed. I shook my head and sighed, "I'm with Noah, and Finn doesn't like me". There was a long silence after that. I pressed the end call button.
It was 10pm. Sophia was somewhere, I was virtually home alone. Then the front door burst open. Millie came in, tear tracks down her face. I knew what was coming. "F-Finn broke up w-with me!" she cried, stumbling towards me. I felt pity for her, yet not much. She sat beside me and I placed my hand on her back. "Boys, they're stupid" I concluded. Millie nodded in agreement.
