I scrummage through my locker, making sure I grab all my math notes and correct equipment for this algebra test. "Where did I put it?!" I whisper-yell, becoming anxious as to where my note sheet went.

"Oh," I sigh, realising it was in my hand the whole time. If you can't already tell, I'm quite worried for the test, but I'll try my best.

"Ok class, I'd like you to all clear your desks. Calculators are allowed, as well as one page of notes. Good luck, you have the entire period to complete the test." My teacher announces to our class.

I turn the test over, as soon as he states "you may begin."

Yes! Multi-choice! I'm pretty certain the answer's C, so I shade the bubble next to it. Question one: complete.

I answer the next few questions, using my note sheet to guide me.

I'm now half way through the test and no more multi-choice questions, so I have to make sure I'm showing all my working out. My teacher takes marks off your final score if you "fail to show him how you got the answer".

"You should spend the next 2 minutes answering questions, then go back over it and check your answers and working out," he says, walking around the classroom, staring down at everyone's papers.

I finish the last question and turn my test over, indicating I've finished, when I remember I forgot to write my name at the top of the page. I quickly flip the sheet back over, scribbling my name in the top-right corner, then feeling a sigh of relief, knowing it's over.

There's still roughly 5 minutes to go, but I'm happy with my answers so I proceed to sit and wait in the concentration silence that fills my classroom.

I fiddle with the zipper of my pencil case, when I then notice I can somewhat see my reflection in the small piece of metal, that dangles from it.

I stare at it in pure disbelief, did Grayson really ask me out last night? Me? Why me? So many questions I want answered. How can he fall for a girl who doesn't even love herself? He can't possibly have the same thoughts as her. He's dreamy and fit and most certainly handsome.

2:56pm

I stare at my phone, waiting for the time to become 3:00pm. My class got let out 5 minutes early, because our health teacher is super chill, but we were told to wait until the bell, before we could be dismissed from the school itself.

Which'll mean school is finally over for the day, and Grayson gets to drive me home. He offered late last night, when he texted me and said "goodnight beautiful, sleep well".

I jolt around, after being tapped on the shoulder ever so slightly. "Shit! I'm so sorry, I remember you said you get scared easily. I-I didn't mean to—"

I cut him off, by standing up and saying "it's fine. trust me, it's ok, I was thinking about last night and wasn't aware of my surroundings. it's fine."

"So uh, how did your test go? Easy? Hard?" He asks, seeming interested in my life and what I do, just with a single question.

"It was alright I guess. some questions were a little challenging, but I don't think I did too bad." I say, staring into his sparkling hazel eyes.

"I'm sure you did great, babe," he says, as the bell rings. His hand locks with mine, as we begin to walk out of the main double doors of our school.

"Wanna make a little pit stop, before I take you home?" He asks, a smirk appearing among his perfectly defined and chiseled face.

"Depends where." I tease.

"Come on, I'll show you," He says, as we get into his car and he puts the key into ignition.
