When he walked in I started to retrieve my memory from the party last night. I don't comprehend why seeing him made my slight amnesia recover.
-Flashback-
Wasted is not even the word to describe my condition. I am highly intoxicated. I don't know what kind of alcohol they spike these drinks with but its definitely a lot stronger to what I've indulged in before. Some guy who looked about three to four years older than me had his arms around me. I don't believe he was drunk or slightest bit tipsy.
"I'm going to take this one to my place. She's beyond drunk." This guy said. As much I as wanted to push him off of me and find Ashanti I was too drunk to do so. Just the thought of him having his way with me while I wasn't in the right state of mind made myself want to vomit. Or maybe that was the alcohol kicking in even more.
"Get off of me." My words slurred as I tried to push him off. He grabbed my arm and squeezed it roughly causing me wince in pain. Just as he was practically dragging me towards the door someone stopped him.
"She's not leaving with you." I heard a female voice say. The voice sounded like Ashanti's. As soon as I heard her voice I felt weights being lifted off my shoulders. The guy scoffed and began to push past her. Someone grabbed him and punched him down. I wanted to badly say 'You got knocked the fuck out' I resisted my random urge, and just laughed to myself a bit. I looked up to see who had just practically saved me from being taken advantaged of. Then I realized it was Daniel. Also known as Ashanti's favorite cousin who I no longer associate with.
What My Daddy Doesn't Know
I snapped out of my reminisce when my Dad called up the choir to sing. I took a glimpse at the Young Adults section where he should be seated. I finally spotted him, and my, my, do I love a man in a suit. Even though Daniel irritates me not one fiber in my body could deny that he was indubitably alluring. My gaze stopped when the music started playing "Take Me To The King" by Tamela Mann.
What My Daddy Doesn't Know
Church had just ended most of the people had already exited. Some folks were speaking to my father for prayer request. I took a glimpse at the woman talking to my dad. 'Lord knows she needs prayer, I can see her tracks from here' I mumbled to myself.
I was moving some equipment off the stage so the cleaners that always came during the night wouldn't bother messing with stuff. If I don't move it they will put it in the most difficult place to find. I shook my head slightly annoyed at the thought. Continuing what I was doing I tried to move this massive box. The struggle for me right now was real.
"You need some help with that?" I heard a deep voice say from behind me. I turned around to see someone I didn't want to associate with. Daniel.
