Harry woke up. He was so happy, his nappy was dry! Harry clapped his hands silently together. And then he remembered, today would be the day that he would get to see his new daddy.

"But what if your new daddy is mean too?" a voice in Harry's head said.

"Yeah, but I can always just go back to Remus and Sirius," another voice said in his head. Harry smiled. That sounded about right! Harry climbed out of bed and looked around his room. He went to his toy bin and pulled out all of his stuffed animals. He then patted each on the head and whispered a goodbye. He made sure to hug each of his favorite ones. Harry looked at his lion. Should he bring his lion or not? Harry thought about it. He nodded, he would.

"Harry, it's breakfast time," Remus said as he stuck his head on the door. Harry smiled and nodded, the smile never reached his eyes. Remus left the room. Harry felt a heavy feeling in his heart. What if he was just overreacting about them not loving him?

"It's fine. Like you said, you can always go back," Harry told himself once more. Harry stood up and opened his door and walked down the stairs, making sure to take his time and remember the steps in case he never saw them again. The pattern on the wood railing was beautiful and had so many lovely swirls. The carpet was soft and comfortable. One could literally lay down and sleep on a stair as if it was a bed. Harry smiled. He had to admit, he would miss this place. Harry came over to the dining room and Sirius greeted him and lifted him into his high chair.

"You're getting so big! Pretty soon you might not need the high chair!" Sirius remarked. Harry smiled weakly, he felt guilty. Sirius gave him his medicine for the disease, which had gone remarkably fast. Harry took it, recoiling at the taste. Remus then set a plate of eggs and sausage in front of him. Harry ate it slowly, making sure to savor the food, enjoying what would very much likely be one of the last things he ate that had been made by his godfather.

"Are you okay, Harry? You've been rather quiet," Remus said. Harry nodded.

"Yes. I'm just so grateful for everything you've done for me!" Harry said as enthusiastically as he could. It was hard, for he wasn't feeling too enthusiastic. For the rest of the day, they mainly watched movies. Harry made his escape plan during his nap time. He would stay awake until midnight and then quietly leave the room with his lion and baby blanket. He would then creep like a spy outside where he would meet his new daddy behind the tree. And then he would feel loved. Harry's chest swelled with nervous excitement at the idea. Harry folded up his blanket and set his lion on top of it in the corner of his room. Sirius and Remus came and got him in a little bit. Soon after they had dinner. And then it was bedtime. Both tucked Harry in and kissed him on the forehead. Harry whispered a goodnight and mouthed an inaudible goodbye.

Harry's eyelashes fluttered open. He sat up and looked at the clock before sighing with relief. It was only 9:00. Harry allowed himself to fall back asleep. Originally he had been planning to stay up, but he felt that he would need his sleep. An hour later, Harry repeated waking up, freaking out, checking the clock, sighing with relief, and going back to sleep. Finally, it came to be midnight. Harry's heart was beating rather fast. He told himself that it was normal and that he was just excited. Harry stood up out of bed and grabbed his blankie and lion. He stepped quietly outside his room, quiet as a mouse. The house was dark. Harry listened for noise. There was none, well, there was the snoring from Sirius's room, but nothing else.

Harry crept down the stairs, tripping on the last step and sprawling down hard on the floor. Harry squeezed his eyes shut as he swallowed the pain. His foot had twisted, but only slightly. Harry got up and gingerly set his foot on the floor. He could walk, he just had to limp. Harry groaned before remembering that he had to be quiet. His eyes darted up the stairs. Sirius's snores subsided for a moment but then continued a second later. Harry sighed with relief and opened the door. It creaked, but only just. Harry stepped outside into the cool and calm air. He closed the door and sighed with relief. He was free!

Harry turned towards the tree and limped towards it. His heart felt like it was going to pop out of its chest. He nearly screamed when someone stepped out from behind the tree. It was the man from his dreams. Harry exhaled, he was saved! The main held out his arms like he had done in the dream. Harry ran into them, careful to land softly on his hurt foot and felt his breath sucked out of him as the man suddenly apparated. Harry felt backward onto the pavement of an unfamiliar street. He stood up and blinked slowly as the feeling of vertigo wore off.

"Follow me, Harry," the man said. Harry nodded and followed as the man set off at a brisk pace. Harry struggled to keep up, especially with his hurt foot. The man led him into a house. It was a large house, but not quite as large as the one he had just left.

"Ready?" the man said as he got ready to open the door to the house. Harry nodded. The main opened it. Harry gaped as the man gently pushed him into the entryway. There was a beautiful chandelier. Everything appeared to be either green or silver. There was a grand and winding staircase with a wonderful railing that looked as though it would be fun to slide down.

"Want to see your room?" the man asked. Harry nodded. The man led him to a set of doors. Harry waited impatiently as the man opened it. It was pitch black.

"Um, I can't see anyth-" and with that, the man shoved Harry into the room. Harry flew into something hard. It was a bed. The man muttered a spell and Harry became cuffed to the bed. Harry stared. What??

"Enjoy your stay, Potter," the man spat out, making sure to slam the door, leaving Harry in complete darkness.
