"Happy Halloween!" chirped Sirius as he opened the door to Harry's room. Harry sat up in his bed and giggled. This was his first time celebrating Halloween that he could remember and he was so excited. He climbed out of bed and ran over and hugged Sirius's leg. And then he didn't let go. Sirius chuckled and carefully walked out of Harry's room and down the hallway. Harry still didn't let go.

"Harry, you've got to get off so I can, you know, not die," Sirius said jokingly. Harry giggled and held on even tighter. Remus came out of his room and laughed at the sight.

"Sirius, I think you've got a little something," he said, pointing at Harry.

"Oh do I? Are you sure?" Sirius asked. He looked down and gasped before looking back up at Remus.

"Why, I do believe you are right! What is that? It kind of looks like Harry! Except I don't think our Harry comes with a leg," Sirius said. Harry giggled.

"You might want to get that looked at," Remus said, his face in a brilliant poker face. Sirius raised his eyebrow and looked back down at Harry.

"Well at least I'm not squashed," he said. Harry looked up, a look of confusion evident on his face.

"But I'm not squashed," he said.

"You will be." Sirius knelt down so that he was gently squishing Harry. Harry giggled and wiggled as he tried to escape.

"You can't get away from me that easily!" Sirius roared as he began to tickle Harry. Harry squealed and tried to protect his small body from Sirius's hands but alas, he was unable to.

"And Sirius is the winner! The crowd goes wild! Ahhhhhhhh," Sirius yelled as he stood up, mimicking the crowd. Harry giggled and ran down the stairs.

"You can't get me!" he called. Sirius started to run down the stairs before tripping and tumbling down a few steps. Remus looked concerned for a moment and went to go look, wondering if he should grab a camera or a bandage. He found Sirius upside down, laughing so hard no sound was coming out except for a faint wheezing sound.

"Great, Harry, you broke him!" Remus called. Harry's laughter could be heard from across the house. Remus helped Sirius up and they walked into the dining room to find Harry halfway done with a plate of pancakes.

"Harry James," Remus mock-scolded. Harry blushed and began to laugh, which then caused him to choke. Sirius pat Harry on the back a few times but it didn't seem to work.

"Sirius, that doesn't work, don't you know the Heimlich maneuver?" Remus asked as he hurried over to Harry whose face was quickly turning red, tears streaming out of his eyes. Remus came behind Harry who stood up, freaking out. Remus grabbed around Harry'st stomach and pushed in. A large bite of pancake flew out of Harry's mouth and smacked Sirius in the face. Harry began to cry, and then he began to laugh, and then he did both. Remus hugged him very tightly. Sirius peeled the syrupy pancake off his face and joined in.

"Are you okay?" Remus asked. Harry nodded as he took in several deep breaths. He finally stopped crying and proceeded to eat the rest of his pancakes.

"So are you excited to see your costume for tonight?" Sirius asked. Harry nodded as he swallowed his last bite of pancake. Remus went out of the room to go and get it. He came back with an adorable turtle costume. Harry grinned and held out his hands for it. Sirius gave it to him and Harry ran out of the room to go try it on. When he came back, Sirius and Remus were both sitting at the table enjoying their pancakes. They looked up and then at each other.

"Remus, where did Harry go? All I see is a giant turtle," Sirius said.

"I don't know, Sirius. Perhaps we should take it to the pet store." Harry giggled and pulled off the hood.

"Oh! The turtle has eaten Harry, what do we do?" Sirius asked. Remus jumped up and peered at Harry's head.

"Harry, how far has it gotten you in? Do you think you can climb out?" he asked.

"Silly Remus, I am the turtle!" Harry corrected him. Remus gasped.

"Did you hear that Sirius? Harry has become a turtle. We are going to have to release him back into the wild where he belongs." Harry's eyes grew about double their size.

"No, it is me. It's just a costume, Remus! Please don't send me away!" and with that Harry began to cry. Remus looked guilty and hugged Harry tightly.

"Harry, we were just teasing you, we know it's you. We would never send you away, ever," Remus murmured.

"Promise?" Harry asked. Remus nodded and hugged him again.

"Okay, so Harry, for tonight, we are doing a different version of trick-or-treat. We will put on a children's Halloween movie and we will wait for a few of our friends to visit us. When they knock at the door, we will accompany you to the door and we will open it. All you have to do is say, 'Trick or treat!' and they will give you a special something. Got it?" Remus asked. Harry nodded.

"Alright, let's all clean up breakfast and then Sirius can help you shower." Harry nodded and ran upstairs to go get the water to just the right temperature. Sirius and Remus then proceeded to clear away the dishes.

That night, Harry sat down on their soft couch and waited as Remus turned on a movie. It was a cute little cartoon about Henrietta's Halloween. Harry sat with a bright plastic orange pumpkin to collect his treats. Remus had prepared these witch's fingers which was a yummy snack made to look like witch's fingers. He had also prepared some spooky punch which somehow had smoke coming out of it, probably through magic. Sirius had tried to make a yummy treat but had of course, burnt his.

A knock was heard at the door. Remus paused the movie as Harry jumped up and ran to the door.

"Harry, wait for us!" Remus called. Harry skidded to a stop and hurried back. They approached the door and opened it. Aunt Minnie stood at the door dressed as a muggle.

"What are you wearing?" Sirius asked.

"Well I could've dressed as a witch but I thought that seemed ridiculous," she replied. Sirius smiled and nodded. Harry held up his pumpkin.

"Trick or treat!" he exclaimed. Minerva smiled and placed some pieces of candy in his pumpkin. Harry blinked and she was gone just like that. Harry ran back over to the couch and sat down, observing his candy. It was a box of these every flavored beans. Some were fruity and others tasted like Sirius's socks. The door bell rang again. Harry waited patiently to walk with Sirius and Remus to the door. They opened it and Dumbledore stood there, dressed as a large, fat, pink pig. Harry giggled.

"Love the costume," Remus said. Dumbledore smiled, a twinkle in his eye.

"Trick or treat!" Harry squealed. Dumbledore placed some chocolate cauldrons in Harry's bucket and again, like Aunt Minnie, disappeared into the night. Harry ran back over to the couch and took a bite into the cauldrons. They were amazing and filled with a kind of caramel filling. A few other people that Harry didn't know rang the doorbell. His final loot once it hit ten o'clock at night was a few licorice wands, chocolate frogs, a chocolate slab, more every flavored beans, and fizzing whizzbees. Harry hugged both of his godfathers before hurrying up to bed. He had hoped to store the treats in his room but Remus said he would put them in a drawer in the kitchen and that he would keep a close eye on them so that Sirius couldn't see them. They both tucked Harry in and turned off the light.

"Happy Halloween," they whispered in unison.

"Happy Halloween," Harry whispered back before falling fast asleep.
