The universe swirls in those bright, disorienting colors again. You can't see Will, but you can still feel his hand, and you cling to it tightly.

Then it's over in an instant. You're back down in Dipper's lab.

There's a clattering noise as Dipper, who was tinkering with something nearby when you popped in, drops what he's holding in shock. "Yasmin!" he shouts.

You give him a sheepish look and hold out the dimension hopper. He stomps up to you and snatches it from your grasp. "What on earth were you thinking?" he yells in your face. "I can't believe you would do something like that! And I trusted you!"

You flinch at those last words. They feel like a slap.

Will gives a little cough.

Dipper seems to notice him for the first time. He steps back warily. "Who's this?"

Will gives your hand a little squeeze, signaling that he'll let you explain. "Um. . . so. . . th-this is going to look bad. . . but. . ." You take a deep breath to calm yourself. You don't know how to say break the news gently, so you just decide to go for it and get the worst over with. "This is Will. W-Will Cipher."

Dipper's reaction is just as bad as you feared. His eyes go wide, and the color drains from his face. Then his features harden, and his eyes bore into yours. "What."

Will releases your hand, takes a deep breath, and steps forward, offering his hand out for a handshake. "Hi, Dipper," he says. "I'm Will. I believe we've met."

Dipper's face goes even paler, and his eyes dart back and forth between Will's face and his hand.

Will pulls his hand back quickly. "S-sorry," he says. "I should've remembered the implications of that."

Dipper opens his mouth, but no words come out. He just stares at Will for a moment before suddenly turning and hurrying over to the glass jar in which he'd kept Will captive. He puts his hand on it, and his eyes close, his head drooping.

"Wow," Will says. "I've never seen someone enter the mindscape from outside it before."

Dipper's eyes open as his hand drops from the glass. He walks back to you, trying to steady his breathing — and failing. "Yasmin," he says, "you gave Will Cipher a physical form?!"

"Yes?" you say. "I did — b-but it's okay! I did it so he could escape the alternate versions of you and Mabel! I had to! You have no idea what they were doing to him!"

Dipper rubs at his eyes with a thumb and forefinger. "I know what they were doing to him," he says. "And he and I have had this conversation before."

"Yes," Will says, obviously fighting to control himself. "You told me it was a good thing."

You round on Dipper. "You what?"

Dipper throws his hands up. "Of course I did! He's a demon, Yasmin! I don't know how that's escaped your notice, but — "

"I don't see a demon," you say with a defiant step forward. "I know he is one, but that's not who I know! I know a person, a person who happens to have powers and was abused so that two kids could use him for evil. A kind and caring person who doesn't deserve that in the least!"

Dipper looks between you and Will. He tries to put a hand on your shoulder, but you twist away from his touch. "Yasmin, I don't know how you have been talking to him, but I'm sorry. He was manipulating you. I don't blame you for not being able to see it — "
