The Cabin

Two years Later

I woke up to a strange smell, other wolves are on our territory. Aurora (my spirit wolf I nicknamed Aurora) said "let's go" with a growl. I raced south towards the Lake, many animals come to it was the first place to check. I slow down at the tree line to see five massive wolves drinking from the Lake, something is different the woods are silent. I won't be able to take all them at once. We will wait them out let them leave on their own, I could feel Aurora agree, our bond has grown we are inseparable we think and move as one. Before I had a chance to move out. The middle wolf sent out a growl which made me freeze in my spot. He snapped his head to his right and then all the wolves spread out. I stayed low as they spread out around me. A single wolf, the Alpha of that pack, stood still staring out at the Lake. "Now" Aurora confirmed my thoughts and I took off standing ten feet back I let a growl out. The Alpha turned slowly to see what this challenge was about. The Alpha has been in many fights his fur is ridden with scars. He snorts it reminded me of a laugh. He is much larger than any wolf I have ever seen more like a bear if I didn't know better. He shifted into a human right in front of my eyes "Shift" he said strongly. I stared in awe as he was the most impressive man I have ever seen. Dark brown hair probably 7feet and 250lbs of pure muscle. His eyes were golden still resembling the wolf that once stood before me. "Aurora?" I questioned "do what he says it will be ok it's all part of the goddess plan". The man takes another step forward and I take a step back as I can see the other wolves return cornering me in. "Shift" he said even stronger if that's possible suddenly my bones ached. The man then screamed but it was dangerously low it made my ears ring. The next thing I knew I was laying in the snow freezing in the Alaskan winter. 

        A blanket was tossed over me. I tried to speak but weird noises came over me, everything was so bright it was hard to focus. Aurora can you hear me I frantically yelled out in my head. "it's ok child, the time has come to live up to your destiny, but I will be by your side, some spirits can be quite tricky". A calm settles over me. Suddenly the Alpha appears over me blocking the sun, "get up time to go" he said. I tried to stand up and walk, my legs were very wobble and I was slow in the deep icy snow. My bare feet already getting cold, I stopped only a few steps and let a whine out. I noticed as my vision focused, everyone is in clothes but me. Two seconds later I was picked up bridal style by the Alpha.  I let a yelp in return. I realized he wasn't going to put me down as everyone was moving out, the men in front of us were chatting and laughing. I laid my head on the Alphas chest and watched the snow float to the ground ever so softly taking in all of the smells and the peacefulness.  Suddenly we stop I look forward to see multiple snow machines. I rode on the same one with the Alpha by the time we got to cabin I had a headache.

We got to a cabin and all the machines suddenly turned off, I let a sigh of relief as my head was pounding from the noise. He doesn't carry me to the back porch I walk myself. Once inside I see a fire burning and I lay down right in front of the fire. I watch as it dances across the logs, the warmth slowly warming my new bare skin. A long time later I feel people staring at me, I continue to stare at the fire not wanting the warmth to leave. Five minutes later I can still feel them staring at me, I let a low growl out. They continued to stare, I snapped and turned around to face them bearing my teeth growling again. 

The Alpha looked unfazed but defiantly curious.

 "bathroom is all yours, my beta is getting clothes from the store as we speak." 

I walk towards the open door I look inside one bed is there along with bags littering the floor, I move to the next one, a bathroom found it. I shut the door behind me.

I drop the towel at the full length mirror on the back of the door. The wood paneling and the florescent light made my body look extremely worn and pale. I run my fingers of the muscular but lean form in front of me. A couple new scars litter my body as I trace over them I feel how sharp the nails on my fingers are. They look more like talons than nails, I like it. 

 I look at my eyes something is off my left eye is a glowing light blue, where my right is just my duller dark blue they always were. "it's because of me" Aurora said. I nod and turn to my hair. My silky long golden blond hair grew from my butt down to my knees but is in knots. I walk to the tub I fill it up with hot water. I slowly lower myself in and let the water slightly burn my skin and saturate my hair I put huge glob of conditioner in my palm and start to run it through my hair. When I became entangled with my long nails and the ratsnest I called my hair. I start freaking out as I can't get it untangledwhen the Alpha rushes in to see what is wrong. He is comically too big for the tiny doorway in the piete cabin.

 He turns to leave slightly embarrassed but I whine at him to come help me. He sighs as he walks overto the tub and helps untangle my hand from my hair. He helps wash my hairas I sit hunched over as he does his best helping me till a laughter broke the silence. We both snap our heads to the source of the noise and let out a growl which made the man laugh even harder.
