The arrangements

"Nicole, you would do anything to protect this pack right?" Dominic says breaking the silence

"I would..." I say not taking my eyes off of the King

"then you must forgive me" he says

Before I had a chance to question what he meant I turn to him but he took a step forward the King and bows.

"I offer you, your mate" he says motioning to me

"what a good little pup" the King growled out

I honestly stood there so shocked my Alpha would give me away.  I watched the King approach me I don't think I noticed the severity of him before, his muscles under his tux seemed to move as his tall stature towered over my small 5-foot frame.  His face has turned to stone leaving only an evil half smile in its wake.  He grabbed both my arms I didn't move away I just turned my head and closed my eyes.  I felt the power in his arms and how easily he could tear mine off without hesitation.  I felt his warm breath and one of his right hand releases my arm to brush my hair away from my neck, I instantly tried to grab his hand but he was too fast he grabbed my wrist and pulled it away leaving my neck fully exposed.  I felt him lean down as lips grazed my neck.  And I felt him breath deeply in, I let a cry out I knew what was about to come and I didn't want to be mated to him.  I didn't want to bine our two souls I was meant to be free and if I wasn't I would find the one meant was for me. 

"why are you crying little piggy" his voiced laced with venom

All I could mange to do was sob more the breath I didn't know I was holding in came out ragged and in stages causing my cries to become more audible then I liked.

"so we have a deal then" Dominic interrupted in a strong unemotional voice

"I will handle you later Taylor" he said snapping his head to him

"you may go" he said in a sickly-sweet voice to Clare and Dom standing in each other's embrace. I refused to make eye contact with either of them. 

****DOMINICS POV****

***FLASH BACK****

She was the most gorgeous person I have ever seen sitting there in the prison cell across from me.  Her long black hair was braided into tiny long braids which lay perfectly against the contour of her body.  She has been locked up awhile as her clothes are worn and her beautiful light brown skin shines through reflecting the moonlight.  My wolf stirred inside telling me what I see is mine.  She looks up at me her big brown eyes seem to capture my heart in one longing look. 

"who are you" I said

"Lauren" some girl said but I couldn't look away from the drop dead gorgeous creature in front of me

"no, you" I say almost as if I can't breathe until she answers me  

"Clare" the girl said looking down at her feet I can tell she is self-conscious which makes me angry she would ever doubt her beauty.  

"come closer" I barked letting some of my anger come out I let a growl of approval as I saw a shiver go down her back

"Mate" I said

"Mate..." 

*end flash back*

I looked up to see my beautiful Clare washed up and sitting in Nicole's clothes from the first day. 

"I'm sorry love, when we met it was supposed to be the best day of my life but I can't get her face out of my mind"

Clare sat there with her head bowed whispering prayers to the moon goddess

"I think I am going to be sick" I yelled running to the bathroom in time to empty every last thing from my stomach. 

Just as I was getting up I heard something I will never forget. 

I could hear the Alpha King dragging Nicole to his room, physically.  Her screams and cries carried through the whole house.  I have never heard someone I care about so scared and in so much pain. I heard doors of the other Alphas on the top open their doors as they past the doors, one by one in sync. Clare ran to ours but I snapped "NO!" in a harsh alpha voice earning me a whimper from her. I focused on the sound Nicole's body sliding against the hard wood floor, it was the walk of shame as he dragged her into his room. Her nails clawed into the wood which did little to slow their pace.  I couldn't breathe until I heard the Alpha Kings door slam shut so harsh it shook the walls.  Clare came running in and threw up in the sink,  she had tears streaming down her eyes. 

"how..." she was so upset it hurt my heart even worse my mate and my best friend where in so much pain.  I failed as an Alpha I hurt those who stood by me I should have taken the hit but all I tried to do was protect my pack and mate.  I needed my mate in my arms I go to embrace her but she pushed me away causing me to unconsciously send a growl.

"do you have any idea what type of monster he is.. do you know what he would do to the girls he liked" she said as her thin frame shivered so hard I thought she was going to have a seizer. 

"we will figure out a way" I knew I couldn't live with myself for what I did

"no" she sobbed

"you condemned her to the darkest fate imaginable she will haunt us forever" she screamed collapsing on her hands.  We both sit in the bathroom for what seems like forever just breathing neither making more of a hush noise.   We hear a knock at the door, I rise and walk over to the door  I open it a women stands there and a man stands across the hallway talking to another Alpha. 

"the formal party will still be occurring and every member is required to go Alpha King Drayton will be making a special announcement tonight at 7" she said curtly before turning down the hall.  I slowly shut the door glancing down at the bloody claw marks in the center of the hallway. Claws were always her signature move when she couldn't win, i was going to be sick again.

****Nicole's POV******

I watched Dominic and Clare run out of the room leaving me to the beast of a king before me. 

"just do it" I sobbed losing all composer knowing I will never win against him, I am strong but not invincible.

"just do it" he mocked

"what makes you think I want to mark you here with such readiness" he scoffed at me

"then let me go" I yelled head butting him in the face and running out the door.  He almost instantly caught up to me and slammed me into the nearest cement wall.  I wanted to get back up but I was like a rag doll in comparison. 

"time for some fun" he snickered with his eyes glowing his wolf is fully in control now. 

My head is pounding Aurora is having a meltdown in my brain, I scream in anguish and lock my claws on the ground as he drags me down the hallway.  I sat crying at his feet as we waited for the elevator

"PLEASE CHASE PLEASEEEE" I sobbed as the elevator opened and was dragged in

"please, I promise I will be good just don't do this My King" I begged on my knees looking up at him trying to keep from sobbing all over the place

"don't beg we are not weak" he spat down at me with a low growl

With a final ding of the elevator I lost it, I started screaming I am not even sure they were words, I used every ounce of my muscle to keep me to the ground as he dragged me down the hall I could feel my nails bleeding and tearing but I didn't release the ground from my grip. I watch as every high ranking alpha opened their doors to watch me condemned to the Kings will.  I screamed and cried and begged for my life but the Alpha King was hard as a stone and continued dragging me to his door.  We paused only for a second as I grabbed the door frame and held on my with one last tug I was trapped in the dark room and the slam of his door was my final goodbye.
