Chapter 4 || You're A Nincompoop!

C H A P T E R F O U R || YOU'RE A NINCOMPOOP!

I woke up with a groan when I felt something heavy jump on me.

"Whaa?" I mumbled, unable to form full sentences that early in the morning.

"Rise and shine sleepyhead," a bright and smiling Lily woke me up.

"Ugh. Go back to sleep Lils," I mumbled and buried myself in the covers.

"Nope. No way! Its the weekend and its a beautiful day and I want to go shopping. Come on!" She grinned and bounced on me.

"Lily, get your fat butt of me and go back to sleep," I groaned.

"Nope. Come on. You promised!" She whined.

"When?"

"The day before yesterday."

"I don't remember."

"We were in the cafeteria..?"

"Oh." I had just been about to rip open my packet of gummy bears when Lily had snatched it out of my hands and held it away from me. The deal was if I went shopping with her she would give my gummy bears back. I could only think of the tasty treats that had been snatched away and hadn't even heard the deal so of course I agreed. Some girls needed coffee to function. I needed sugar.

"Yeah, oh. So come on then," Lily tried to get coax me out.

"B-but I don't wanna," I pouted like a child and she rolled her eyes.

"Come on. Only a few hours. And you know that I do have a gift card to Starbucks!" Lily smirks at my expression as soon as I hear the word Starbucks.

"What are we waiting for? Come on!" I jumped out of bed and rushed to get ready.

"Liiiiilllllyyyyy," I whined. She ignored me. "Lily? Lils? Lil bear? Lily flower? Lily?"

"Shush. I'm busy," she glared at me and went back to searching the racks.

"Come on! We've been doing this for 4 hours. 4! You promised that it would only be a few!" I slumped.

"It is only a few!"

"But my feet hurt. They kill. Oh the ache," I began dramatically and Lily gave an exasperate sigh and turned back to face me.

"Fine. Go to Starbucks and I'll meet you there."

"Yay!" I quickly ran away before Lily could call me back.

Four hours of shopping was not my cup of tea. I was dead at the first hour but Lily was like a shopping machine. We had already been through two floor and there were three more to go. We had been to almost every shop in the mall and Lily probably bought enough to clothe the entire country of Africa!

I entered Starbucks and walked up to the counter.

"A vanilla frappe with a pump of raspberry please," I asked the barista politely and she nodded and turned to do my order. I wasn't a coffee girl.

Sure, I had an occasional cup or two but I was more of a hot chocolate and frappe person. The barista handed me the plastic cup with the straw and I took it, muttering a quick thank you.

I turned to go sit at a table when a rather large someone bumped into me.

"Crap! Don't you watch where you're going?" A loud voice cursed and I looked up to see him. It the American Adonis and he was glaring at me. Again.

"Well its not my fault you bumped into me!" I snapped.

"Woah! So Little Miss Shyness does speak," Adonis smirked at me and I glared.

"You spilt my drink!" I hissed. I did not like it when my Starbucks went to waste. Especially when morons like him wasted it.

"You ruined my shirt!"

"You bumped into me."

"No. You bumped into me. Here and at the hallway."

"No you idiot. You bump into people and then blame it on them, because you my friend, have two left feet!" I yelled the last part, glaring at him so fiercely that I was scared my eyes would pop out.

"Excuse me? What did you just call me?" He glowered at me.

"An idiot! Wait, that would be me being nice to you. You're an imbecile, a twit, a nincompoop. I didn't know where the sudden confidence was coming from but I was really mad. He spilt my precious drink!

No one could get away with spilling Starbucks.

"Did you really just say nincompoop?" He asked looking amused.

"Yeah I did, you ninny."

"Ninny huh?" he took a step closer while giving me a dangerous smirk. My confidence disappeared and I took a step back. "Well I think you just keep bumping into me cause you like me." He smirked at me as my cheeks blazed.

"I-I do not!" I knew my face was as red as a tomato.

"Ah, the stuttering. A dead giveaway," Adonis winked and me and I flushed deeper. "See ya later Rosy Cheeks." He began to walk away but not before he tapped my cheek, grinning.

I stared after his retreating figure, cursing under my breath. I had just been about to give him a piece of my mind but he had turned the tables onto me. I hated how I could blush so easily! Ugh.

"So what did I miss?" I startled when I heard Lily's voice and turned to see her looking at me inquisitively.

"You have no idea," I muttered as I looked at my empty cup and then the floor where my drink now lay pooled in a sticky mess.

I am actually pretty proud of my self for whipping up the next chapter so quickly cause I usually a while but the ideas just kept on coming! And guys, I had to include Starbucks in this chappie cause I practically worship that shop/cafe/whatever you like to call it. (I call it heaven but you know, its your choice ;)
