Chapter 40: Flaws

"Good mornig" I heard Jasper's voice.

Groggily I opened my eyes and sat up straight as Jasper made himself comfortable on the side of me.

Yesterday after I told everyone the story, lucky for me everyone bought it or at least I hope so.

I was taken straight home and I was placed infront of a big buffet of food though I'm pretty sure all I ate was some salad. Just let's say I wasn't hungry one bit.

I received calls from each and everyone of my friends, including Dean who called to say that the baby was fine and that they had reached safely.

My dad and mom kept thanking James and Helena over and over again that James called in sick and went off. He said that he also had to deal with Maddox.

Whilst Helena was lucky enough cause my dad loved her and told her he wouldn't mind one bit if she stayed with us.

Through it all Jasper just stood by me, I knew that he didn't buy my story. He didn't believe a word I said. Twin perks.
But he just kept quiet and listened.

"So are you going to tell me the truth?" he asked all of a sudden.

"What do you mean? I told you everything!" I said hopelessly.

"April I know you lied, so tell me what happened? Where were all of you?" he asked eyeing me.

I wanted to fight the urge to tell him but I knew that he would go to any means to find out so I gave in and told him the whole thing.

By the end he didn't say anything, he just pursed his lips together and stared at the wall.

"So Dean's a father!?" he said and burst out laughing.

"You idiot though that whole thing you only heard that!" I said as I playfully hit him.

"Sorry that was the most intriguing part, but James killed a guy?" he asked softly.

"Please don't rat him out, it was self defence! And even though it haunts me at times I know he felt sorry I trust him?" I said unsure.

"You don't sound so sure about that" Jasper whispered.

"Hey, aren't you two getting ready to go?" Helena asked as she entered my room in the clothes she had taken.

"Yeah, I'm going to go get changed" Jasper said and he walked to the door.

"Hey it's good to see you again Helena" Jasper said giving her a small smile.

"You too, though I totally saw through your lie" she said smirking as he rolled his eyes and left the room.

"I happened to here the last bit of the conversation you had with Jasper and I'm just going to be straightforward and tell you that you didn't sound so sure about trusting him, you two should talk about that" she said with a straight face.

"Helena can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Spill it out!" she said putting her hands in the pockets of her jeans.
