You had managed to do the impossible – sleep in long. No one had woken you up. Something unusual on a ship, where always someone seemed to shout. Either Luffy for food, Sanji for him to wait or Nami for everyone to be quiet. And in between there also were those crewmates that kept tinkering on things that half of the time would explode.
This day yet when you eventually woke, not only the women's quarters but the whole ship was unusual quiet. The reason for this was found as soon as you stepped out on deck. No one was there. "Where is everyone?" "Exploring the town"With a yelp you whirled around to find Sanji standing there "Don't scare me like that!" you held your chest, right where your heart was pounding wildly. "I'm sorry, dearest" he apologized but you waved it off, then you realized something "Does that mean we're the only ones left?"
At his confirmation, a blush was creeping across your face and your just calmed heart started thumping again. Being able to spend some time alone with him had been one of your greatest wishes for so long but it always had seemed to be an impossible thing. There always was someone around, even when you hadn't been at sea and unable to leave the ship. And now that it finally was coming true, you had no idea what to do.
A little clueless you looked into his handsome face and his gentle smile alone caused you to melt. "How about I make us some tea?" he eventually offered, and you stiffly nodded "That would be great", though you actually would have preferred something cold and with alcohol to cool yourself and your nerves. While Sanji was in the kitchen you did your best to pull yourself together and to not look like an idiot by not moving one bit, you quickly sat down on a table, just in time for his return. He not only had the promised tea with him but also a plate filled with cookies and sweets. Setting everything on the table he took a cup and the pot, then skilfully poured some of the rose liquid. "This is tea from Alabasta, made from the finest ingredients and prepared with love", the excited expression that laid on his face while he spoke once again caused you to blush. This passion for his job was only one of the things that you loved so much about him. Quickly, you hid your rosy cheek by lifting the cup and taking in the aroma. The scent of different spices filled your nostrils and at your first carefully sip the sweet taste tickled your senses. You hummed in satisfaction "I definitely can taste it" The ingredients or the love?" Sanji who by now had also taken a seat, leaned over the table to take your hands in his. Your heart speeded up but you forced down the blush and smiled at him "I guess both" "Oh, my sweet ______-chan! You make me so happy!" He jumped up and with hearts in his eyes danced around the deck, causing you to giggle until he sat back down.
The next hour was spend like this, talking, drinking tea and laughing. You felt like you were on cloud nine, especially when Sanji started returning your clumsy flirting and turned the innocent conversation in something way more suggestive. If this had been up to you this could have gone on forever but like so many times, all good things come to an end. Here it happened the moment, Robin and Nami returned. Sanji instantly jumped up and ran over to them "Nami-swan, Robin-chwan!". He whirled around them "How was your day? Did you miss me?" "Not a bit" Nami sighed and rolled her eyes, while Robin looked at you with an apologizing smile. She knew how much this was hurting you. This always was the same. As soon as he spots a cute girl, he runs off to flirt with it and you were left behind with a slowly splintering heart.
